Just Hobbies

Went to just Hobbies some weeks back to take my car I did not buy from them there. I thought my spur gear was bad. Nick tighten the motor up and all was well. I will for sure be spending my money there from now on for R/C needs.

just hobbies is a cool store and Nick is to me the most knowledgeable about the rc game in Raleigh Nc

Just hobbies is awesome. They are very knowledgeable and when I found that I was missing the correct connector for my speed controller that I purchased online, we put a new one on at no charge. It is my only hobby shop now.

I had an especially good experence at Jost Hobbies. Nick was helpful in determining what I needed and even though I was not looking for "big ticket" items, but just some small supplied he took time to make sure I got what I needed. When I asked for some suppies that Just Hobbies does not carry, he even suggested another shop where he thought I could get what I needed. He saved me money and I am sure to go back.

My experience with Just Hobbies and their staff has always been positive. If they don't have what I need they have always been willing to order it. One time when the items were taking much longer than normal to come in and I was able to find them elsewhere, I discussed it with them and they just cancelled the order with no surcharge or anything. I've also been in a few times looking for an odd piece of something for repairs and they've just given me what I needed. We're not talking about big items here, just odds and ends, but I've appreciated that!

Nick was SO helpful and patient with my son's school project! Not only did he have creative ideas, he looked all over the store to find us parts that worked!

Some of our Christmas shopping this year will be at Just Hobbies.

Son bought a nitro rc car. Nick has gone over and above to make sure it has been a great experience. Thanks for providing such great service and advice! My son is already dreaming of his next car (I am not) and he will definitely buy it from Just Hobbies!

Great service! We bought an R/C helicopter for my 14 year old son and Joedy took the time to explain how to operate it and what to do if anything went wrong. We were pleased with the service, so came back and bought a second helo. The second one was defective. They exchanged it no questions asked and the new one worked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

The service at this store is excellent. The staff is very helpful. I went in looking for some servo leads, but they were sold out, however, Nick was nice enough to get me a few from some defective servos he had and gave them to me for free.

Beware poor customer service and unethical business practices!



On August 28 I visited the store on Glenwood Ave to buy some CA and epoxy. The price on the epoxy was $7.99. When I got home I realized that they charged me $9.99. I went to the store today with an unopened package and receipt to ask for a $2 credit. The “manager” said he remembered that I had chosen not to give him my name for their “database” when I bought it. Therefore he couldn’t credit my VISA because I was not “in their system”. He told me I would have to come back and speak with the owner. He also said that it was a small shop and they didn’t have time to update the prices on their stock to reflect the new price. I told him that this was ridiculous and that I would never do business with them again and would be sure to spread the word about my bad experience.



As I left the store he had the nerve to tell me that I was making a big deal told over $2. Since the receipt doesn’t say anything about a NO REFUND policy I decided to go back and ask for a complete refund. This time the “manager” told me that he couldn’t get that “deep” into the system and I would need to speak with the owner.

I was in Just Hobbies today and this is a cool shop, they sell everything if they do not have it they can get it in a few days. I am in to RC hobbies and airsoft stuff, I have a new shop to get my batteries from and get my old ones repaired. They are starting a Saturday evening run as they called it for road racing and drag racing. If you are into racing call the shop to get all the details. The staff is great. You have to check them out

you will be impressed.

I highly recommend you support Just Hobbies on Glenwood! I am a teacher, and I have a group of students participating in the NC STATE STEP (Sustainable Tech Ed) Program. We had to build an electric car to use in a race, and the battery will be charged by a solar charging station. Well, we brought our car in to see why it wasn't running properly, and without hesitation, Nick helped us on the spot, fixed what we had done wrong, and made sure everything in the car was set properly for us! Thank you to Just Hobbies for being willing to be so helpful!

Recently I stopped into just hobbies to get some parts for a remote controlled helicopter. This is a very cool store if you're looking for a gift or just some cool remote controlled gadgets for a hobby. They were extremely helpful in accommodating my needs. In fact, not only did they have the parts on hand, but he gave me a great deal. As far as I'm concerned this is the type of customer service that many businesses lack these days, and because of it i will be back time after time. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

My son and I went into the store this weekend, with an RC car that needed repair, it was not usable, few parts were bent, car wasn't moving and controller wasn't working right. I figured it was going for repairs, we wouldn't see it for many weeks, and that the repair bill was going to be high. Boy, was I wrong. Nick took care of it on the spot. He quickly tighten a few areas, unbent a few things and got the controller working again. While he was doing it he was teaching my son how to do the repairs on his own. My son's RC was fixed and running smoothly within 5 mins. Nick gave us great customer service!

I went to just hobbies this morning. I was looking for a hard to find, coupler with metric threads. Went to hd, lowes, ace etc... William from the Glenwood shop FOUND THE PART!

My daughter likes RC helicopters and it leaves me at a disadvantage because they are not my "thing" as a Mom. She broke her indoor helicopter while playing with it outside. A caution that the other sales person from the other Hobby Shoppe failed to tell me. I appreciated the subtleness and explanation that Nick gave me. His honestly was welcomed, at least by me. What I thought would be a good in and out was a 20 minutes stay. Which is a good thing because we learned a lot. Working on daughter's list of chores and duties to perform before we go back and get the outdoor helicopter she wants. We'll be back soon. Thanks for the outstanding service.

My son needed a new antenna for his RC car, so we made a visit to Just Hobbies. (I had been wanting to check out the shop for quite a while, so getting a replacement antenna was the excuse I needed!)



Joedy took the bent antenna to the back, and walked out with an identical replacement less than a minute later!



Talk about great service! We will be back. ☺☻☺

Went in to Just Hobbies this past weekend looking for a charger replacement for a helicopter. They took one look at our damaged charger, went to the back and came out with a replacement. Very helpful and professional and and definitely be going back for further purchases.
