Server was great. Seated quite fast actually got 2. Problem was we ordered food and had a 45 min wait for steak tips and over medium eggs and my order of started breakfast eggs over easy... Food comes out. Steak was ordered medium rare came well done. Eggs over medium came out well done. Eggs over easy came out medium. And my pancakes were uncooked in the center. Raw dough basically. And both hashbrowns were not even warm... I will not be going back.

I love this place, its has the best variety of breakfast food around. I live in walking

distance so i visit often. I'm an egg eater, i go in get bacon, two eggs over easy,

Once i get my toast sop in my eggs and taste my coffee, i;m in hogs heaven. If you

love breakfast food any time of the day this is the place. I also love the kids menu,

it has so much for them to choose from. The waitress, are always very neat and

clean , extremely friendly. The prices here are very reasonable. I like this place to,

Overall
menu change/arrogant manager

Monday, September 8, 2008. Just returned from breakfast at IHOP, Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC. I have a very unpleasant taste in my mouth and an equally unpleasant encounter with the manager, Darla. Background: IHOP was founded in July 1958 by two brothers. I was a college freshman at NCSU in 1958. During my college years IHOP opened a location on Hillsborough St, in Raleigh, just walking distance from my college campus. It soon became my favorite breakfast location. Over the years of dining at IHOP in various cities, my favorite breakfast became eggs to order, pancakes, and a very delicious corned beef hash. I have tried other non-IHOP locations but the IHOP preparation of corned beef hash was not to be beat. So today I drive 15 miles from my home in Cary to the Capital Blvd location of IHOP to enjoy my favorite breakfast. The pleasant server, Tallien, informed me that I would have to order my favorite as separate side orders or take the "new" menu offer of egg omelet with corned beef hash. With reluctance, I agreed. When the meal was delivered, I shrugged at the small quantity of corned beef hash, but was assured that more was inside the omelet. It was after the first taste of he so-called corned beef hash, that I began to complain; it looked and tasted like corned beef MUSH--bland and unappetizing. My complaint ended up with the manager, Darla, who assured me that the corned beef "hash" recipe had been that way "for quite a while". I strongly objected, saying that depends on your definition of "a while". I then proceed to tell her of my history as a patron (see above). She was not the least bit sympathetic with my position and offered me the "side dish" of corned beef "hash". I asked if that corned beef "hash" would be the same as I had already been served. When she answered in the affirmative, I then decided that I had eaten and heard ENOUGH and said that I would NOT return to IHOP ever again. Before leaving the restaurant, I asked the manger, Darla, for the phone number of the District manager. After more than 5 minutes she returned with a number but no name. I then asked for the District manager's name and was given Jeralyn. For the last 50 minutes I have been calling that number, 919-622-0197, and get no answer.Maybe I've been given the old "run-around". Never-the-less, here is my written complaint and believe me I will be giving my friends the verbal complaint about IHOP. If UPPER management desires to contact me, use waynesubs@earthlink.net
