        When we went into business in 1982, we knew the reputation of some of our peers. Our goal has always been to be different. And we are. Our mission: We're Stephen and Cheryl Stauss, the owners and founders of V.I.P. Auto Sales. Our name reflects our philosophy. Each customer is treated like a very important person. We believe that any dealer can make a sale. At V.I.P., we want to build a relationship. Behind the business... V.I.P. is a family endeavor. Stephen and Cheryl have been married for 30 years and have two daughters, Jennifer, an RN and hospice Case Manager, and Stephanie, a student at UW-Madison. The family has grown to include son-in-law Christopher and grandson Colton. If Colton is any indication, the family enterprise will continue - he loves to visit the car lot, where he "helps" Grandma with paperwork, waits on customers alongside Grandpa or supervises repairs in the garage! Though much of our time is spent with the needs of our business, we manage to take a week or two off each summer to take a road trip with our Harleys. We built our family here in Racine; our family has built a business by looking out for other families in the community.         Worst experience ever. I purchased a car from them in February and in less than a month I had to bring it in for problems with the radiator and the car over heating they "fixed" it and in 2 weeks I was back with the same problem and had to fight with them to get it in, in less than 2 weeks they finally took it in the next day and they "fixed" it again. 4 months later I took it to a different mechanic for the same problem again and paid $700 in repairs that were "overlooked" when I contacted VIP they were completely rude and could care less about the issue and the fact that it had been reoccurring since I bought the car, offered no service. I started having problems last week with the car again and took it in somewhere else because of the lack of customer service provided by VIP and the incompetence of their mechanic. I was told to bring it in to a Subaru dealership because the problem involved mass engine repair. I found out that I would have to have the entire engine repair along with a list of other things. I will NEVER purchase from them or recommend them to anyone, not my worst enemy. BUYER BEWARE

        Fantastic Experience

        We bought a Jeep from Joe & Stephen and could not have had a more pleasant experience. Not only was the vehicle in terrific condition, they stayed late too let us come for a test drive and again when we decided to purchase. Their lot might not be big, but their goal for customer satisfaction is! Thank you so very much.
