Commonwealth Restaurant and Lounge

Before it was remodeled and renamed, i enjoyed going to Flanny's every friday or saturday night. The drinks were decent price.Though it did need to upgrade in the inside of the place. Now, its beautiful inside, but its not worth wasting money on drinks that are half the size they use to be, and it seems you pay for a cup of juice than a cup of an alcohol beverage.Things changed since they re-opened, but the most part that bothers me is that the owner or bouncers do not accept any ID besides a Drivers ID or passport.Theres a reason why people get Liqour ID's than Drivers license, maybe its because they cant drive or have a disability, but should that matter? it still says your over 21 and legal to drink. Why did the state make Liqour ID's? Plus with regular Mass ID's, what if people dont go there to drink? but just to socialize? they will not be let in. So it seems that to be able to drink and get into a club, you have to drive. Isn't drinking and driving the most biggest problem we face in the state of Mass.? if its not knowing the id is fake or not, why not waste money to get a machine that identifies if its real or not than besides pushing away customers who are legal and want to have fun. This place doesnt even know how many people go in there every weekend who are under 21. too many to count.. but it stinks for the rest when we're legal to drink but the underage kids get away w/ it because they have a drivers license which isnt theirs. Got to love it!
