If you call in to make an appointment, please be aware that if you are have an extremely serious illness, you may not get in to see the doctor as soon as possible. Especially if it is on a Friday. For those of you out there who can find no help in emergency rooms, as they can do less for you than your doctor, please be aware that talking to Shelly (who makes the appointments) is a knell of doom if you need to get in to see your doctor as quickly as possible. The last time I called in, not only was she rude, insufferable, and one of those people who "know it all" even though they don't, she left me in tears and with a near hopeless feeling. I only have one doctor that I feel I can trust as my condition is relatively rare and next to impossible to control. Shelly was the LAST PERSON ON EARTH THAT I NEEDED TO TALK TO IN MY CONDITION. I tried to reasonably explain why I needed my doctor or his nurse, but she was adamant that I was not sick enough to come in on a Friday, which according to her was for urgent cases only. I only called after she was EXTREMELY RUDE to the person I had call in for me. In my condition, a violent (on her part), hostile conversation is the absolute last thing I need and she gave it to me in spades. Now I really don't expect for her to be fired (one can only dream that insensitive people with absolutely no empathy what so ever can actually be removed from the medical field). But I do plan on mentioning the incident to my Doctor, although I fully expect to come into their office tomorrow to glares, in a place like that office, I'm sure my reputation has been slaughtered by this mean, spiteful woman.

I've not had much a problem with the doctors at this office, overall, they have been extremely helpful and considerate, but their office staff in some cases (Shelly), leave a great deal to be desired. If it weren't for her, I would have given Elliot Medical Plaza five stars with no doubts at all. At the end of the call, she told me she wouldn't listen to my griping anymore, even though I was just trying to explain my situation and would have probably even apologized, although at this point, I truly believe that what she said far outweighs any comments that I might have made. All statements that I have made in this review are true, any retribution should be sent through my lawyer. Although I did not record the phone conversation, it is possible that the office did, so there is absolutely no grounds for further personal attack from Shelly upon my person or psyche. A note to her, if she reads this, for it to be defamation of character, it has to be false, which this patently is not.
