Dental Examination
The exact cause of TMD is difficult to pinpoint because the symptoms are often related to other problems. Our doctor will review your medical and dental histories, as well as conduct a comprehensive examination to help make a proper diagnosis. Your exam may include x-rays, CBCT scans, and 3D imaging.
X-rays
At ComfortCare Dental, we use digital x-rays, which have several advantages over traditional film-based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Fillings
For many decades, cavities were filled with amalgam. Still used today, amalgam is very strong material. However, it does have some major disadvantages.
