Mary Ada's serves the best food you will find anywhere in the area. I have traveled all over the country and would rate the food and service tops for any restaurant in the price range. However, the Christmas decorations are the most creative and beautiful I have seen for a restaurant of its size. All decorations are homemade as is the food. It is true down home hospitality at its best!

Provided by SuperpagesThis is a restaurant with great food and the place inside is so pretty that you would not believe this place was in Portageville, MO. If you are looking for a place to impress someone this is the place! Their prices are also good. They have the best fried chicken in Missouri. They make a lot of their desserts which are outstanding. They have a Friday night fish buffet with catfish, froglegs and peel & eat shrimp and all of the trimmings. You have to try it to know what I am talking about. They also have a fantastic Sunday buffet with fried chicken and chicken & dressing and the list goes on. They have a great steak on weekends along with seafood. I am very satisfied. I think you would be too.

- Located just off I-55, exit 32, in Downtown Portageville, MO. Wonderful home cooked food. Lunch buffet Sun. - Fri. Seafood buffet Fri & Sat nights. We ate the seafood buffet at Mary Ada's on the advice of a friend. The food was delicious. We were especially fond of the fried catfish. I never eat anything but catsup on fried catfish but whenever I eat at Mary Ada's I'll be having her homemade tartar sauce from now on. TO DIE FOR!! The peel and eat shrimp was very fresh, good-sized, and tasty. Can't beat the down-home, friendly, family atmosphere. If you're traveling Interstate 55 between Memphis and St. Louis and will be traveling through Portageville, MO around mealtime, treat yourself to a stop at Mary Ada's.Located just off I-55, exit 32, in Downtown Portageville, MO.
