In response to the review dated 9/13/2010, the patient the writer was referring to is an adult.According to HIPPA guidelines we need to keep the patients chart private, even to their parents if so desired. Dr. Willingham is a fully competent and experienced board certified psychiatrist, who respects his patients privacy and offers excellent medical care.

My daughter has been seeing this doctor for about a year. He prescribed vyvanse, an ADHD medication. The medication states "if you have a history of alchol abuse or drug addiction, DO NOT USE." My daughter is an alcoholic and has a history of drug abuse. Every since she has been prescribed this medication, she has been abusing it. I have called the doctor 5 times and even the owner of the facility to tell them she is abusing the medication. To please re-evaluate your decision.He continues to give her this prescription every month. He recently gave her the script 4 days ago. Two days after receiving the medicine, she overdosed and had to go to the hospital for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. She was admitted because her potassium was low.I again called and left message for this doctor informing him of the outcome of his decision. Beacon Clinic and Dr. WIllingham do their best to help people with all sorts of problems get to the best quality of living obtainable. I have been a practicing RN for 25 years & I have worked with Psychiatric personsal in many different situations. By far, Dr. Willingham is the finest physician with an enormous knowledge data base not only in psychiatry but in medical maladies as well. Plus he is a kind compassionate understanding human being concerned wtih each person's physical as well as psychiatric wellness. I can only give my opinion on 2 of the therapists but both are well educated and more than competant in their fields. Society today is very different from as short as 20 years ago, medical office are run as what they are, a business & because of all the insurance fraud & dead beats who promised to pay off their accounts. I don't believe anyone would expect Publix to let one leave with an order of food & only a verbal promise to pay the bill later. Never happen. Thanks

My now ex husband saw Charlene the want to be Counselor whom is actually a nurse practitioner. She needs to find a new profession. I do not know any counselor that will tell a drug addict/alcoholic that it is okay to drink on occasion or at all. My ex went to her for two years for drug addiction/alcohol addiction and then we began going together. We are now divorced. She told him what he wanted to hear instead of what he needed to hear. She has no clue and apparently no one is watching her work when she closes her files.

This place will only help you if your insurance company is up to it and if you happen to miss an appointment god help you because they wont good luck with these folks... and im not they only one everbody i know that went here has ben cut lose for the same thing they want to see how much you can pay and how offten if you cant your gom...

Dr, Thomas was great! He seemed very concerned about my condition, but the most wonderful thing about him was that he looked me in the eyes while talking to me!
