Summers Orthodontics

If you want an orthodontist who will FIX issues you or children may be experiencing with your teeth, Think twice before choosing Dr. Summers. If I could go back and do it all over, I would NEVER have chose him as an orthodontist. After having my braces removed and permanent retainers in place, I have had NOTHING but trouble with Dr.Summers. When the wire of my retainer has broken, (3 times) in 8 years, he has never replaced the wire, just glued the wire together and back onto the back of my teeth. The last time he did that, I ended getting a large space between my front teeth. Dr Summers "fix" for that was to "add on" to my tooth with some material to "make it look like there wasnt a big gap." When I asked him if he could just readjust the retainer so that my teeth would go back to the way they were before t he retainer broke he mumbled "well this is easier." Furthermore, because he failed to properly fix my broken retainer, my teeth began to shift and the retainer became loose once again. Today I went back to have him correct the issue, and what did the man do? He began drilling down several of my teeth because the retainer was hitting on them when I bit down!!!!! So instead of replacing the broken retainer (that's been improperly "repaired" three times) to help prevent my teeth from shifting around and effecting my bite, he drilled my teeth instead!!! I will need veneers by the time this man chooses to fix something the RIGHT WAY! Furthermore, you will not receive an apology for his incomptent mistakes, or poor decision making, all you will receive is "well its easier this way because you'll have to deal with other stuff if I replace the retainer" AND don't expect to wait in the ortho chair for less than atleast 45 minutes while Dr. Summers inconsiderately takes his sweet time speaking with his fellow staff members about every day common things. The man can have your jaws pried open, tool in hand, and sitting right next to your head for atleast five minutes before he even cares to find out what is going on with your mouth, because he is farrrrr too busy engaged with inappropriate conversation with his staff members. There is a time and a place for everything. If youre at work, show some respect and help your patients! Engage in gossip later Dr. Summers when its not during patients hours!!!!!!!
