We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended well-child visit schedule. This provides your medical team the opportunity to provide developmental screenings, vaccinations, and wellness exams. By attending routine wellness exams, we can ensure that any concerns related to your child’s health are addressed and help to establish a relationship between your child and their physician. Attending these recommended visits will maximize your medical team’s ability to provide the best care for your child. Most insurance plans, including Idaho Medicaid, cover these visits.
Primary Care
Complete Care: We ask that you choose a Primary Care Provider at our clinic. Even if you aren’t able to see that physician for all your child’s visits, you will have one physician that oversees your child’s health to ensure the best care for your child. Our pediatricians staff Portneuf Medical Center’s Nursery, Pediatric Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. If your child needs to be admitted to the hospital, there is a pediatrician from our clinic ready to care for them. In addition, multiple pediatric sub-specialists from Primary Children’s Hospital regularly work with our pediatricians and see patients in our clinic.
Immunizations
We would like to thank you for choosing us to care for your child(ren). When coming for your first visit we ask that you come 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. We would also ask that you bring a copy of immunizations and any information that you would have from your previous provider. This information is helpful to our staff and the providers to make sure we provide you with the best care you deserve.
Everyone! Children & families receive better communication and support, have stronger relationships with providers and save time. Children and families who have special healthcare needs, behavioral health needs, or require multiple medical professionals will benefit from additional support and/or care coordination in a PCMH. We have dedicated Care Coordinators at our clinic to help families with community resources and assistance, referrals and collaboration with specialists, or general questions about a child’s plan of care.
