Huge fan of this studio!

When I first moved to the area I was looking for a place where my daughter could get excellent dance training that offered traditional dance styles and had a cutting edge approach. When we met Katie at an Open House, we knew that The Dance Factory was our new home. Katie is a very warm and friendly person. Within the first couple of minutes of talking to her it was evident that she not only loved her profession but also supported her students. The studio had a real “family” feel. Over the years the studio has become like our second family!

There is a great range of different styles offered. The energy is great at the studio and there are a wonderful variety of not only classes but also ages.

TDF is lots of fun, the opportunities are only limited to your availability and I have watched my daughter continue to blossom in a venue that she loves. Katie, along with the other faculty members have coached and encouraged my daughter to reach her fullest potential. With all that TDF offers there is something for everyone! I can’t imagine why anyone would not give TDF a try.

I don’t know what all of these negative nancy people are talking about. The Dance Factory is the real deal. As a dancer, I know what the classroom brings, but I’m also old enough to see the financial/business side of it. This is my second year dancing at TDF as a competition member, and I have nothing negative to say about it. You may think that it’s because I go there and compete, but that’s not it. Prior to attending TDF, I went to Carver Dance Center, and it is completely different. The second I walked in to registration my first year, I immediately felt at home, a totally different feeling than at Carver Dance. As a male dancer, people always gave me trouble. The second I started attending TDF everyone around me’s attitude changed because my skill improved so much in just a short amount of time. Starting out as a dancer, I was only in it for the hard-hitting hip-hop classes, but after watching a few more dance styles at TDF, I realized that I needed to get in more classes. Miss Katie Sances-Rondeau saw that I had the potential, but knew that it wasn’t in my family’s budget to pay for the extra classes. She approached me and offered me a FULL scholarship to take ballet classes throughout the entire year. Would somebody who is “money hungry” or “all about business” have done that? Absolutely not! TDF has become a second home to me, and has shown me what the real dance world is like, and Katie continues to prepare me to move on after high school and continue in the dance world. All TDF dancers have become my family, and TDF is the most prestigious dance school around. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT IT. All of those people saying negative things are HATERS and have nothing better to do then attempt to tear down Katie and TDF, but they aren’t succeeding. Every successful person and establishment has people that get disappointed. It’s inevitable because with a business this big, it’s impossible to please everybody, and that’s not at the fault of Katie. Katie is an absolutely incredible person, and has become a HUGE inspiration for me and many other dancers at the studio. So, for all of you haters MISERY LOVES COMPANY and continue to hate because HATERS ARE OUR MOTIVATORS. Xoxo Tristan Marshall

It is a great pleasure to recommend The Dance Factory of Plymouth. Ma

My daughters have danced at many studios across the South Shore and it wasn't until I discovered the Dance Factory that I realized what we were missing... and that was passion .

Katie, owner of The Dance Factory, has such a passion to teach her students the art of dance. My daughters have been inspired by her, she is a wonderful role model for young woman. Her love of dance is completely contagious to her students both new and experienced. I would highly recommend you visit the beautiful studio and meet Katie and her wonderful staff. My recommendations are from personal experience and this studio gets a 5 star rating from my daughters and I.

If I told my best friend about this place it would get a great reccomendation from me. My daughters absolutely love Miss. Katie and all the fellow instructors at The Dance Factory. They have been so warm and welcoming to us since we have joined the studio at the beginning of the year. My daughters love their classes they ask me all the time if it's time to do back to Miss Katie's yet days before their class! They always put on shows for me and my husband in the living room of all the new things they are learning. Miss Katie and her teachers are very knowledgeable and have taught my girls so much about dance. Also, the office manager is very sweet and always answers any questions I have. She is a great resource if you have any questions about the studio and if it is something she can't answer and always partners in with Miss. Katie and comes back to me with an answer. The space is great, it has so much room holding three prestige studios which holds classes simultaneously. The waiting area is good sized with plenty of seating and a TV to keep me entertained as I wait. She also has a cute store my girls love which sells Dance Factory merchandise. My girls just started this year but they love it so far and I can't wait to see their little faces on stage at the recital this year. My girls have made lifelong friends and I can see them growing up and having The Dance Factory as their studio for years to come. If you want your child to receive an amazing dance experience with these knowledgeable instructors I would highly reccomend The Dance Factory. I couldn't be happier. :)

Save your time and aggravation...

Save your time and aggravation and go somewhere else...unless you don't mind being talked down to, never being right, enjoy disorganization, overpaying without anyone saying a word to you about it until you figure it out on your own, poor communication...and forget about getting out of paying for something that is unexplained, they would rather lose you as a customer than let a dollar get past them.

The Owner although appearing sweet, is actually very condescending, and truly is never wrong...in her eyes at least. She truly knows the meaning of "sugarcoating". From the mishaps with my account I found them legitimately disorganized with poor bookkeeping. The instructor my daughter had was great with the girls and very nice, however, not the teacher that was advertised to us by the owner (aka was suppose to be the Owner, second class one of her teenage students took over). Pictures and dress rehearsal, very disorganized. And the facilities need to be cleaner... I could go into detail about the many issues I experienced but this review would be way too long.

Unfortunately the owner soured our experience enough we are not returning. I wondered why upon signing up this past year why no one had heard of this place...now I know why.

Word of mouth is the most powerful source of advertising, especially amongst parents, and this Mom's mouth is saying "No Thanks" to the Dance Factory.

The Dance Factory has nice peo...

The Dance Factory has nice people working there, but truthfully, nice sometimes isnt enough. I have never received a return call or email when I had a question. I have only contacted them that way 3 x in 2 years. The website is never complete with information/dates. There is a general lack of courteousness. Communication is beyond bad.

I agree with last reviewer- seems to be a money machine. What used to be a one shot recital is now a matinee and evening performance, so now i have to shell out more money for yet another ticket because dropping my daughter off at the event is not an option.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This studio is more about money than teaching your child to dance.

The owner/director initially presents herself as sincere however in a short time you will notice that she continually passes her classes off to her older students. The overall cliquish environment is tough for new students coming in. I would highly recommend Manomet School of Dance and Center Stage Dance Academy over The Dance Factory. Having had children dance with all 3 of these studios I write this from experience. My children were with Manomet School of Dance for 12 years and they took occasional summer classes at Center Stage. Needless to say I was appalled at how this school is run. I only enrolled my daughter for a couple of classes but pulled her out because of the lack of professionalism.
