Jacaranda Orthodontics and Pediatric Denistry

I took my son for his first preventive appointment in March 2016. Dr. Landa and the hygienist were good. When I went to check out, the lady in the front told me that I had to pay. She said it would be cheaper if I paid then go through my insurance. I told her it is covered 100%, I called my insurance before I made the appointment. I didn't want to argue, so I paid. I came home and called my insurance and again they told me it was covered. I went back to the office on Monday and spoke to Lorri Dahman. She said that my insurance company gave her the wrong info but they could provide me a refund. It's been 7 months and I have not gotten my full refund. I spoke to my insurance and they explained to me that the office billed it incorrectly (when a provider accepts my PPO insurance, through the contract they are suppose to give a discount). I even had my insurance company call Lorri directly on August 18. Lorri told my insurance that she will take care of the refund that day. I called on Oct. 13 to check on my refund. I was put hold for 20 mins and when I called back they went to lunch. I then left a message and no one has called me back since. It's not about the money, it's how the whole situation was handled. I think it is very dishonest.

Beware of bait and switch tactics. Very very friendly "salespeople" in the beginning to try and get your business. They quote one fee, then they don't honor that fee. That's not good business and it left a really bad taste in my mouth. My sons feel that the staff is not particularly nice to them and I don't disagree. There seems to be a communication problem in this office. They recommended a specialist for a procedure and that person did not accept any insurance and was going to charge $2,600.00. We found our own specialist to do the same procedure accepting our insurance and the fee is going to be about $500.00. Ridiculous. They never told us the specialist didn't accept insurance, so totally wasted our time. My time is valuable. Speaking of time, the waits in the office are very long. I'm fairly confident that the results at the end of treatment will be good, but I"m not comfortable having to go to this place and deal with these folks for close to two years. It's a shame that I've been made to feel this way.

I met with Jennifer Martinez and found her to be very professional and very helpful. She worked on getting me the best possible financing. Never felt anyone in the office was unprofessional. Dr. Khakhria is awesome. Everyone in the office acts professional yet makes it fun for my kids. Keep up the great work.

The best experience I've had visiting an orthodontics office. The staff was extremely friendly and the office very nice. During my consultation with Jennifer, she was diligent and did an excellent job of explaining the numerous orthodontic options available for my son. I felt no pressure whatsoever to sign up with their office. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I'll be sure to refer your office to my friends and family.

Nice looking office but very pushy on getting you to sign papers and commit to payments or down payments. Jennifer Martinez asked what race my child was??? Does that matter ??? Rude people looking to rake in the cattle.

What an amazing experience for my family! Wonderful office and staff! We have 2 kids, both in need of braces. The staff welcomed us in to a fun and friendly environment which really made us all feel at ease. Dr Khakhria was professional yet fun and all of the activities and contests going on in their office made my kids WANT to get braces! We are getting started this month with my older child but the younger one was not ready so he will be monitored for now. If you are looking for the best, you have found it at Jacaranda Orthodontics! By the way, they also have a pediatric dentist which we will be seeing in April.
