Debbie's School Uniforms

Debbie's School Uniforms has always provided a pleasurable shopping experience no matter how many times I go. The salesmen are incredibly helpful. Sabina is exceptional as a salesman and a cashier and the managers are incredibly helpful when they assist the customers. They have a vast selection of schools and when I was greeted by Nick I was shown where the section was and my child and I were helped immediately. It's a great shopping experience and I'd recommend it for your uniform needs every time.

The place is a little cramped but very clean. It was a busy day as there was a sale for my daughter's school. In less than 2 hours I was able to find everything I needed thanks to help and advice of one of the clerks. The unpleasantness happened after I got to the counter. My bill came up to a little over $420 which I chose to pay in cash. 4 $100 bills and 2 $20 fresh; from the bank. I was told that my money

would not be accepted as they could not verify the "authenticity" of my bills. The manager came out and told me that the corporate office had "trained" them on recognizing questionable bills. The pen that they used to mark them up wouldn't work and neither would a machine. It was suggested that I return the bills to the bank.

The embarrassment I felt in a business filled with other shopping parents. We paid using a credit card and left. . I did that the next morning and at the bank my story made no sense to the tellers or managers. The bills were accepted and deposited into my checking account.

So what can I say about this? What was it about me that gave them the impression that I was trying to get over on them and use counterfeit money?

What do I do if I need to make another run to the shop for more uniforms for my child? I am extremely Disappointed, confused and embarrassed for what happened that day ;-( The service gets 5 stars from me; Dana was great! Management gets 1!
