Provided by SuperpagesSpent a lot money at this crappy place and passed my CHL WRITTEN, several years ago, only to have one of their chitty attitude instructors flunk me on the range. I tell everyone to stay away, LUCKY TO GIVE 1 STAR
I've read a lot of negative reviews on this place but just left there and the employees were kind abs knowledgeable. Try them yourself to get your own opinion!
They deserve less then one star . They are extremely RUDE ! Bunch of want to be copes! They are A-- holes . I can not wait until another gun range comes to town .
I am sure the quality of their items are decent as the guns I have used here before and looked at all seemed to be quality items. However a couple of years ago I came here and since then I have never looked back. A few of us were waiting in line to sign up to use the range when a gentleman walks in with what looks like a hunting rifle (I don't really know my guns). The "expert" asked if it was unloaded and the gentleman said yes it was. The customer proceeds to tell the "expert" some sort of problem with the gun. The expert holds it up horizontally and looks down the sights. A few moments later he turns it vertically (barrel pointed up) and what happened next, I am guessing, is that he accidentally discharges the gun right into the ceiling. My friends and I go deaf for a good 5 minutes our ears ringing. This "expert", when holding the gun looking down the sight, had the gun pointed towards customers direction. After the incident, no form of compensation or sorry was made. They tried to keep it hush hush and tell people coming in that nothing had happened. Terrible experience that could have been fatal. I would never trust those idiots ever again. This is the same review as my Google review
P.S. I had to post privately for my own safety as I dont want any repercussions for stating the truth.
This place doesn't even deserve one star. The employees are rude and think they know it all. In my opinion, it's their job to help educate the customers but instead they just make you feel like a complete idiot for even asking a question. I can't wait for Gun Gear To Go to open up...it's only 2 blocks away and surely they'll be able to provide better customer service than this place.

Provided by SuperpagesTheir gun selection is the best in the metroplex as well as their pricing"
I am a retired woman. I went to the Bullet Trap to practice for my CHL target test with a gun I have never used and with limited experience with shooting. Charles was great and very patient with my inexperience and limited abilities. His customer service skills are great and worked with me. I so greatly appreciate that kind of respect. I will definitely go back there just wish they had a senior citizens discount.
my husband and i went and stayed about 10 minutes. it was so cold not only were we shaking but our target was moving due to the draft. its an indoor place it should have been more pleasant. we went to check out and they were going to charge us full price. i was not too happy about that. we were not leaving because we wanted to we were leaving because it was so uncomfortable. so 10 mins and109 bucks later we walked out knowing we would not go back. we will stick to quail creek. (btw, they are over priced on a lot of stuff) they had a glock i wanted and it was 40 more dollars more than it is at cabelas, new.

Provided by SuperpagesOK, but if it is cold outside it is cold on the range. It can actually be painful to load a magazine. I was told by an employee that it was air conditioned, outside air I guess.

Provided by SuperpagesI know of 3 gun sales that they lost due to their attitude. A glock 23, sig p 220 and glock 19. I will purchase my ammo, supplies etc from someplace that will not try to make me feel like an idiot.

Provided by SuperpagesThis is a great one-stop place for gun guys and gals. Nice indoor ranges - one for pistols, the other for rifles. Both have the electric cable system for sending your target downrange, then bringing it back to check shot placement. They sell a wide variety of guns, though you'll pay a premium of about 15% over what you can pay at a gun show. CHL and other classes are good. Knowledgeable people working there, who are more helpful to novices than a lot of places. (Some other shops are staffed by "gun snobs." Finally, it's right in the (eastern) middle of Plano - what more could anyone want?
