24 Hour Fitness

I've been a member at this club for a year....it all started when I needed to go out of the country for a few months for family emergency. I notified the gym personnel that I'm leaving the country and I'm gonna need to pot my membership on hold as I'm not sure how long I'll be there. Long story short they kept charging me every month for 13 months.....yeah that right 13 MONTHS.....without me being there..... when I found out that the charges kept going I went to the club only to find out that my membership wasn't on hold.
I was trying to explain to the manager (I think her name was Amanda) that I did put my membership on hold, and I did notify them about me leaving out of the country. (and she verified with me that my membership wasn't in use for 13 months. Needless to say that my complaint set on a deaf ear and telling me to call the 800-# to try to fix it.
I did call the 800-# in 4 different occasions only to get the same answer that someone will call me within 3 to 5 business days and still NO CALL OR EMAIL. NOTHING...... they charge me over $600 for those 13 months for no reason. I'm still waiting for someone to call me, apparently it's the general manager that supposed too. After all those attempts of contacting somebody to resolve this issue, I mentioned to the customer service over and over again that my desire is NOT to get a REFUND, is to keep going to the club and train for the membership I already paid and didn't use. If I'm not gonna get that issue resolved asap I'm taking them to court. It's not about the money it's the principal..... you shouldn't practice business this way, I should know I own 4 businesses.

Great gym great people working there. But honestly is like Chinatown in there.
