Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Gum disease progresses through several stages when it is not treated, eventually posing a threat to the integrity of the teeth and possibly requiring oral surgery to correct and restore oral health.
Gum Surgery
For patients with early stage gum disease, known as gingivitis, an intense cleaning or procedure called scaling and root planing may be recommended. This procedure removes tartar from the gum line, tooth roots and deep pockets of the gums.
