Empire Countertops

We subcontracted this company to install a granite countertop for one of our customers. They chipped a corner of the counter upon installation. The customer pointed it out to them. They attempted to patch it. A year later, the patched piece fell off. They attempted to patch it again. Then once again, this year, the patched piece fell off. This time Empire told us (Backyard Concepts) that we would have to pay them $150 for them to go out and fix it because the warranty had expired. We pressed the issue that they should fix what they broke and were told by Jeff, the installation manager, that he was finished with this discussion and hung up on us. They should have replaced the countertop when they chipped the corner. Would definitely not recommend this company. Very unprofessional.
