This is a New Times Best of Phoenix awardee whose owners are Arizona natives, have created a place for great breakfast selections (in many Bacon-based varieties). Their aim and results brought fresh ingredients to the fore, and they say it's made from scratch - I believe it. They have a quaint patio, very relaxing, as well as an open window bar and their interior is a no frills, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Not to mention a fantastic array of beers... but, bacon (so the name Oink) is their forte! Their menu for a breakfast joint is difficult to make decisions from, it's extensive and what I like to call Nuveau Break/Brunch! They offer qualities beer, fab cocktails along with espresso drinks - not to mention an array of Bacon specialties found nowhere in the Valley. Your pig-loving self will salivate at the extensive pro-piggy selections! On our third visit to this Piggy-Palace we decided to and enjoyed... a mellow Moscow Mule; a really good Cucumber infused Mule; regular Tomato Juice to start. Our mains today included Oink-Style Corned (super tender) Beef Hash (only $13.99) with Rosemary infused heirloom potatoes (russets, purples and chuños), corned beef, two eggs poached nice and soft, and very good white artisan bread toast crispy and buttered - a more tasty or unique representation of this traditional dish I've never had. And, we had the Oink Breakfast Chimi (only $12.99) with the Chef's special pork confit, home fries, scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese rolled up in a tortilla and fried crispy soft and topped with a fab chorizo-based cheese sauce. We only wish they had put more sauce inside it, but otherwise, a delectable dish. Overall, this Oink has accomplished meeting or exceeding our breakfast desires at each of our visits. Bon appétit breakfast lovers, we will keep coming - keep up the great work Oink!
