General Info: INDSPEC Chemical Corporation received ISO 9001 certification from the International Organization for Standardization in 2003. The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing resorcinol, resorcinol based resins and other resorcinol derivatives. INDSPEC is one of the world s largest resorcinol producers, and one of the only commercial resorcinol producers in the United States. In addition to its resorcinol products, INDSPEC produces and markets selected grades of sodium sulfite and sodium sulfate. INDSPEC Chemical s corporate office is in downtown Pittsburgh, and its production facility is located approximately 60 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, in Petrolia, Pa. INDSPEC also has a research, development and technical center located in Harmarville, Pa., and a European sales office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. INDSPEC Chemical has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation since 1996.
