This was just a routine service call for an efficiency june 21, 2008 to check up on a 1.5 year old Trane working great. The experience started with poor communication between their scheduling dept. and their service techs. I was promised a phone call and a service person to arrive between 8 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. the next day. No phone call no service person. I had to phone them at 11:30 a.m.or no one would have showed at all. Person arrived after 2:00 p.m., so I was in effect waiting most of the day. The scheduler promised a free washable HVAC air filter and I asked whether credit cards are accepted and was told "Yes". When the service person arrived, both turned out to be empty promises. Finally, the service person bent the sheet metal plates in two places to service the unit and did not line up the screws and seal it back to where it was before the check. I noticed a decrease in efficiency of cooling of my house after that. There was a whistling noise as hot air was being sucked into the rooftop unit through the leaks. I had to reseal it myself. Still not as good as new.



Although the technician and all the people I spoke with to report these problems were all courteous and friendly, their communication with eachother and the competence were less than desirable. Avoid.
