She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in medical psychology at Duke University Medical Center, focusing on pain management. While her clinical practice encompasses various mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and life adjustment issues, her particular interest lies in chronic pain. “I use neuroscience education to help patients understand that chronic pain is not ‘all in their head,’ along with motivational interviewing, to activate positive health behavior changes.” In addition to chronic pain, she works with various other chronic medical problems. Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the body’s internal structures. The images are used for either diagnosis or treatment, as well as for guidance during procedures that require intervention, such as biopsies.
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a test that uses powerful magnets, radio waves, and a computer to make detailed pictures inside your body. Your doctor can use this test to diagnose you or to see how well you’ve responded to treatment. MRIs can be done on different parts of your body.
Radiology
Many radiology tests can be given at the time of your appointment with your doctor. Others, such as MRI, CT, and Nuclear, usually can be scheduled within a week of seeing your doctor. Most test results are available within 24 hours. Because a radiologist and your doctor must interpret the x-ray and imaging results, we cannot give test results to you by telephone. Patients must see their doctor to receive this information.

Computed Tomography
A CT (Computed Tomography) scanner employs X-rays to generate cross-sectional images of any part of a patient’s body. Doctors request CT scans to study internal parts of the body, including the chest and brain. CT scans provide greater detail than X-rays, as they can show the shape and exact location of organs, soft tissues, and bones.

Dr. Light specializes in comprehensive nasal care, including in-office and operative sinus procedures for managing chronic sinus disease. Procedures for nasal obstructed breathing and deformity include septoplasty, nasal valve repair, and rhinoplasty.
