Soul To Sole

Food lovers, where do I begin! Every two weeks I visit Mother (90) and Auntie (92) in Philly and we travel around Philly eating at different restaurants (that I have mostly found on line). Needless to say, that’s how I found this restaurant. The food is “amazing”! The entrees come with more than enough food and side dishes, and there’s no back and forth with substitutions. The interior is clean and cozy. The waitress (a family member) is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. The first time we went, (yes, we have become regulars), the Chef came out to ask us about the food, which really impressed Mother and Auntie. The restaurant is located in a quaint part of Philly that’s well lit and safe with plenty of parking on the street. The food is cooked to my perfection (i.e. fried fish, shrimp). My Mother and Auntie hail from the South, and they said the food tastes like its home grown! The prices are way too reasonable for the amount of food you get. They don’t serve alcohol, but you can BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE! How cool is that! It’s revolutionary! Now that we’ve found Soul-Sole, my Mother and Auntie don’t want to try other restaurants, and I have to agree. If you like “real” soul food, then visit Soul-Sole.
