Old Mill Family Restaurant

I ENJOY EATING AT THE OLD MILL RESTAURANT. THE SERVICE IS GREAT. IT MIGHT TAKE A LITTLE LONGER FOR YOUR FOOD BUT THE FOOD IS FRESHLY MADE AND IT IS WORTH THE WAIT.

I have been dining at the Old Mill since it opened. I go on various days and at various times and have never had the long wait or bad service as described in the other review. On the contrary, I feel you just cannot get this quality of food in the Slate Belt at basically diner prices. The petite lobster tail special for Valentine's Day was especially awesome. I have also used Old Mill for offsite catering and everything was prepared perfectly and at a reasonable price. There aren't enough quality places to dine in the Slate Belt, and this is definitely one of them!

ordered dinner at 5:40, my salad came, my wifes soup came, then our cole slaw came.it's now 6:00. at 6:20 I asked the waitress what the problem was and she informed me that my scallops take awhille to prepare. At 6:40 I again asked what the problem was and was informed that my wifes crab cakes got burnt and another order was being pepared. 5 minutes later our food finally arrived and was told there would be no charge for our meals. the scallops were undercooked(still translucent) my baked potatoe was hard as a rock and bone dry, my wifes baked sweet potatoe had a strange taste to it. Overall not a good experience--considering I was given a bill for our meals which I paid. Not a problem, they need me, I don't need them. Had a party there 2 weeks ago and was planing another one-NOT, there are many other places in the slate belt were I can take a crowd of people to eat.
