True Value Movers

Nothing but crooks, stay clear of this group, we have filed police reports, because of stolen property and damaged items.

Since this company likes to hide it's negative comments, maybe this will be of help to someone. I signed up with this moving company True Value Movers to move my belongings from Miami, Fl. to Sunnyvale, Ca. which they came to pick up on February 27, 2018 which I paid them half plus a deposit to schedule my delivery and as of today May 31st I still have not received my belongings which was scheduled to arrive at the beginning of March. I have since had to file a police report, a complaint with the BBB who closed the case as unresolved since the movers kept giving me broken promises of delivery and I have sent numerous emails to the moving company. This has been a very difficult situation resulting in me losing my job due to not having my documentation for work which is with belongings, so I was let go. I was supposed to receive an update after I spoke with Detective Frederick of the North Miami Beach Police Department who contacted Crystal at True Value Movers about my case and they still refused to follow up with me as he instructed them to do. I was able to finally get a hold of the driver who delivered my belongings after going through my phone who let me know that they are unable to locate my things, that is why they didn’t ship my belongings. He was able to locate my things since he was the person that stored them which at that time I was told by the manager that there will be no additional charges due to the inconvenience and they will let me know once it ships. Since then I have followed up with emails requesting a delivery date and also for the compensation that they promised for going past the promised delivery time and at my surprise I was sent a bill. I was told that there wouldn’t be any extra charges. After losing my job and dealing with the stress this is not something I can even afford at this time, due to not being able to work since they failed to deliver my belongings in the first place and losing a lot more money than the bill itself.

I had prior movers and got a phone Call from Kate at True Value Movers she sold me over thinking It was going to be a breeze with the that they are professional that they work directly with you so I went with them she quoted me. Price that once the movers came to pick up my stuff went up to $3,000.00 dollars more that what the estimate was of $1900.00 so you do the math once the movers got there the head mover which I believe was a Jewish guy was Horrible he complaint from the minute he got there and would not stop he was very unprofessional he immediately started to charge for packing even though my stuff was all packed in a storage he charge for stuff I could not believe he made he take out everything in bags did not want me to pack any of my stuff so that he can add that to the bill he was rude to his workers very nasty he was rude to me wouldn’t let me talk wouldn’t let me figure out things ran his mouth the whole time he is a professional scammer when I called the office to reach Kate and complain during the move due to all the anxiety he was putting me through her response to me was he is one of their best head movers my jaw dropped I was truly in a nightmare as I went back to see what was going on he was still complaining and literally left a good portion of my stuff in storage I had to rent a 6x12 trailer from U-Haul and pay more money to get the rest of property back home it’s funny I paid less for the movers that brought me down and took everything that was in that storage 10x15 storage with no problem but True Value Movers had me take out of the storage6x12 of the stuff saying they couldn’t take it and charged me more I have reported to the storage and many other places and will continue to do so the horrible experience I had with True Value Movers Do not fall for the scam
