LIAAC is a regional community-based nonprofit agency delivering comprehensive programs to residents in Long Island, N.Y., who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Utilizing a field-based model, its professionally-trained staff are committed to providing a continuum of quality client services, responsible public policy, aggressive advocacy and effective prevention education. The organization s services include respite care, recovery outreach, drug and alcohol programs, support and bereavement groups and comprehensive Medicaid case management. All LIAAC services are confidential and free to those who request them and available in English and Spanish. The organization was founded in 1986.
