Pirates Cove

I have been eating po boys since I was about 6 or7 years old...starting at the White Cap when it was on Highway 90 prior to relocating to where the Yacht Club used to be. When i was in my early 40s I had a po boy from the White Cap..it was not as delicious as I had renembered...my mother agreed. This may have been in the 80sI. 'm dating myself! I am from PA but my mother was from Gulfport and we made the trip every year as I grew. We then went for our next pi noy to Pirate's Cove and I was in love all over again! Mother moved back to Gulfport and I would rate visit on how many Pirate's Cove po boys I had..5 was my top score for a 4 day visit!!!

The best roast beef poboy you'll ever eat.

Have purposely eaten roast beef poboys all over the coast and in New Orleans and there is none that can hold a candle to Pirates Cove. Would note, that it does seem they have slightly reduced the amount of beef on the sandwich. Would be nice if they would pile it up! Regardless, this is my favorite poboy anywhere. Thanks!

I am so happy to know that Pirates Cove has come back after Katrina. I grew up in Long Beach and ate there many times during my childhood years. I now live in Canada, and often wish I could stop in for dinner. Can't wait to stop by next time I'm down for a visit on the Gulf Coast. There's no other taste like a roast beef po-boy from Pirates Cove !
