I had a 'Bunionectomy' at CRG in late 2011, this involves breaking and re-aligning the First Metatarsal, Dr. Ira Gottlieb over-corrected my the First Metatarsal, so that it doesn't line-up with the big toe at all, I couldn't help but see it on the post-op X-ray and asked about it. He said not to worry about that, that it would "self-correct". It did not, the surgery was botched. I'm dealing with chronic swelling, scar tissue, and discomfort, and I'm facing going through the whole process again to fix the mess that Dr. Gottlieb made of my foot. His staff was great, the three days I spent at their facility while participating in the clinical drug trail was as pleasant as it could have been under the circumstances, but that pales when the surgery that this facility has preformed thousands of times is a failure.
