RT 46 Auto Sales

This fella John Oppenheim who put up a ridiculous review is a fake fella who is deliberately to defame my dealership. No such car was sold to him. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority at Rt 46 Auto Sales. Please do not pay any attention to this person..I am hoping Google will remove . There is no name of car is mentioned here...We sell most all our cars with a 3 month independent warranty. Some cars with real high miles are sold as is when customer refuses to take the warranty. I have been in used car business for 25 years and am very experienced at it. I help my customers even when sold as is if problem happens right away, because customer satisfaction is what I live by in this business. Many have genuine complaints, but also there are a few who do not tell the whole story, which is not fair. I pay 200 towards independent warranty in case customer runs into big problem. It is sad that there are 100's of real satisfied customers who do not write reviews, that not fair..

Whatever you do steer clear of this dealership. My client bought a vehicle from here. The dealership owner is an Indian guy who constantly says "he's honest". Don't believe him. The vehicle was a lemon that needed a new engine. He refuse to help and was constantly talking over me and the mechanic. Totally scumbag taking advantage of people. This guy took $5,000 from a teenager and didn't even try to help with the crappy car. I guess a car salesman really are sleazy, disgusting scumbags.

I bought A 2007 Mercury Mountaineer (57,979) for Route 46 Auto under the “assumption” (Thirty day warranty was advertised on the car) that the car had a thirty day warranty. Within the first three weeks of having the car the check engine light goes on and other problems. I contact Route 46 Auto to tell them about the problem and they state to me that the car is not under warranty. I need to purchase a warranty. I stated to him that the car came with a thirty day warranty as advertised. No, all we can do is send you to a mechanic, you have to pay. I inquired about the Used car Lemon Laws in New Jersey and the gentlemen on the phone named John said New Jersey has no Used Car Lemon Laws or that they did not apply to me. I state to John this in not correct (I had already researched the Used Car Lemon Laws (http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/) he then told me he was not a lawyer and did not know all the laws but you just stated there were no Used Car Lemon Laws and you sell used cars for a living. I then got the, I am just a worker not the owner and I am not try to get you upset. I then hung the phone up and looked at the paper work I had signed and what did a find a “Waiver of New Jersey Used Motor Vehicle Limited Warranty” waving my rights to enact the New Jersey Used Car Lemon Law. They never explained that to me just had me sign it (my bad). Check and have these people explain everything to you. I called John back and told him about the Waiver and if there are no Lemons laws in New Jersey why did he have me sign this document? John first said, this did not apply to you; New Jersey has no Used Car Lemon Laws. He told me this several times (lies). Then he asked did I negotiate the price of the car (this falls under the Used Car Lemon Law Waiver). I then pressed him about this saying, “the reason you made me sign this was to get me to waive my Lemon Law rights”. John’s answer “if that is what you wanted me to say”. That means “Yes” and Route 46 know what they were doing.

The quotation made me sick. They list the price on website as 10k & then told me that's the price if you are qualified for $1000 Mitsubishi Loyalty Incentive, $1000 Military Incentive & $1000 Route 46 Mitsubishi Recent College Grad Incentive. If you are not qualified, you need to pay 3k more. What an insane company!
