I used to shop at Weis but then found that Shop Rite seemed to have lower prices. The problem is if you have an issue with needing to return a spoiled item purchased at one store you can't take it to a different store because some are franchises. Also, when I had two products that I paid for not make it home the store claimed that they pulled the security footage from an overhead camera during my exact check out time and "saw each of the time items going into bags and then all bags going into your car in the parking lot." I highly doubt that the 4" cardboard round with 4 mini-cat toy mice poking through it were clearly visible on security footage and I had purchased two different versions of one item and so perhaps they saw the other one that did make it home but not the one that is missing. When I discussed it with the assistant manager Dan he was very snarky. Also, when they make a price mistake on an item you don't get the item for free like in other stores that have "goof proof" policies. I think a free item is a good idea because of having to go through the hassle of going to the customer service desk to correct the error. Less fragrance in the women's restroom would be good too - it is really over loaded in there.

Awesome store for couponers. The only downside is that the coupon policy for this store change frequently without notice. The only coupon policy online is an overall policy for Shoprite, but the manager at the Perring Parkway store has altered the policy numerous times. (i.e. printable coupons stopped doubling for a period of time and recently started back, only 20 coupons will double per transaction, and I was recently told that you can not have 2 consecutive transactions. They actually ring one transaction and ask you to get back in line at another register for a second transaction. I was told that this was done because of the long lines. It seems like the answer to this issue is to have more cashiers and lines open. This would help lessen complaints about customer service and get customers in and out quickly.

Great store great savings

I live in the Parkville area and I shop there at least twice a week. I found the store to be really clean and welcoming. The bathrooms are extremely clean and well decorated.I love the fact that it's always someone close by that's willing to help. Every time I needed something the person would stop what their doing and show me the item instead of telling me where I could find it. Shop Rite also has alot of brands that other stores don't. Okay.... Here are the negatives.......there's no salad bar. The stores bonus card is a waste of time. You think it will save you money and it doesn't. You know how you go into Giants and use the bonus card, and it takes money off your bill.... Well shop rite sucks.... I purchased sugar cookies.. You know the ones you bake and they were expired. I just went in the store this past Sunday to purchase Halal chicken wings...and they smelled bad.made me sick to my stomach!!! There a guy that I now believe that works there cause every time I'm there I see him. African American, light complexion, tall with dreads...shop rite your not fooling anyone...I guess he's like undercover security.
