Overall

Horrible service. They are the cheapest but you get what you pay for. They will actually pull items out of your trash can and leave them on the ground if you have anything in there that's "not allowed." They are also careless with your trash cans.

Had this company for a 18 months now. The first year was great. The past 6 months has gotten worse and worse. Started with occasional missed pick ups, then to February skipping our house for the entire month while taking the neighbors cans just 3 feet away. Calling does no good cause all you get is an answering machine unless you and no one calls back unless you lie and say that you want to give them money. Owner, Bob says he will have it taken care of but no changes. Sure, they are less expensive than others. You pay less, they do less. Glad to be getting rid of them.

I'm with Amy and wish I could give zero stars!

I switched to this company because it was less expensive than the one I was using.

The Garbage Man-Parker frequently skipped picking up our trash. The next time they showed up, they would only take 1-2 bags and leave the rest.

I called multiple times. Requested a call back from Bob but never received one. Was told I'd get a refund but never received one.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes they can help.

I am now back to my former trash company!.

For Garbageman in Aurora.

I wish you could give no stars. This is the worst company of all time. Numerous times in the last year or so, our recycling would just not be picked up. Garbage can and recycling can were placed on the same side of the driveway so we figured maybe there was confusion even though the recycling container is clearly marked. So we moved the recycling to the other side of the driveway to make it even more clear.



In the last 4 four months, they have missed 3 of our 8 recycling pickups. We've called an left messages which have NEVER been returned. The average wait time on the phone is about 20 minutes. They always have "a high volume of calls."



After missing the last pickup (right after Christmas), we have A LOT of recycling out front this week. I come home to recycling strewn all over the street from my house all the way to 5 houses up. There are large recyclable boxes which did not come from my house so I'm assuming they fell off the truck. Some of the items thrown around are super tiny (rings from the tops of old baby bottles) that were at the very bottom of the very heavy recycling bin. The bins were super heavy because we had to smash all the recyclables from the past month to fit. Because remember....they chose not to show up 2 weeks ago. How did all of that get onto the ground?



The only thing I can figure is an employee throwing a hissy fit and not being especially neat about his job.



After cleaning my and other people's trash off the street, I called and let them know I needed to cancel immediately (this was the last straw) and that they needed to reimburse me for the money I've already paid for the next 3 months. They won't. They refuse. Someone is supposed to call me back. Yeah right.....

This is for "The Garbage Man In Parker" and not the other one. I was ready to give Bob and his team kudos and even a decent rating, but I can no longer.



In 12 weeks, I had to call 7 times total to work out issues with my garbage, maybe more but those are the ones that stick.



Multiple missed recycle pickups (there was only ONE pickup for recycling that I didn't have to call), causing my recycling garbage to sit on the curb an extra day each time.



When I signed up, I was told that I could 'put garbage in anything (I) want', so I put it in a 96 gallon that came with the house.



3 Months in, this is suddenly a problem and his driver doesn't want to pick it up. The pail is half full and not that heavy.... I've had luggage that's heavier and I don't think this even breaks the 50lb mark.



My honest opinion is that I think animal waste in our garbage grossed out or in some way made the driver not like the pickup and they've just been telling 'stories' to Bob and his team.



Bob called me this morning to tell me that after 3 months, he's not going to have his teams picking up my garbage anymore. He tells me the other day that his guys can pick up up to 80lbs or something, but it changes to 50 lbs in conversation today. I think Bob is tired of dealing with me and would rather just cut his losses.



This is a terrible way to do business and I think a terrible business to do business with. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone wanting easy, on time, on schedule and overall reliable garbage service.



Just remember, they'll call you back IMMEDIATELY to get your money for signing up or dues.... I've had two return calls out of seven when I complained. Just two. Take that for 'customer service' as you see fit reading this.

This company kept missing pickups, would NEVER return my phone calls, would not respond to written notes left with office personnel, and finally I was able to see the owner in person to CANCEL and ask for a refund of my charge a week or so before I cancelled. He never refunded that charge, I went by to ask again, he said he would do it, but he not only did NOT refund that payment he has now charged me again for the next three months... This business is AWFUL. DO NOT USE THEM.

ONe more dissatisfied customer that is canceling her service and going with someone else. I had to give at least one star as required and I would have given them a negative 5 stars if possible. They are irresponsible, do not return phone calls, do not provide the service they are paid for. CSP

Nothing but problems with this company, They threw the recycling away with the trash, the local phone number listed goes to a fax machine, they moved my 'alley' pickup to curbside, They won't refund my money when I cancelled. 1/2 star for trying.....

We have been customers with this trash service for almost a year now. We have not had a single month of service we did not have to call about missed pick ups, partial pick ups or inadequate service. I have spoken to a representative (Jon) back in January about many of our issues, and continue to have excuses such as a sick route driver, new route driver, missed house because labeling for address wasn't found (our house number is clear at the alley and the front) and all manner of stories. We are fed up with having to chase a service that should be fairly simple: Pick up the trash on the assigned day! That's it!

Dear "The Garbage Man", I am Very Disappointed in your service, or lack there of!

My trash was not picked up for four weeks in a row, and TGM refused to come pick it up, knowing we had three weeks of trash sitting around our house, because they failed to pick up our trash. Each time I called, they indicated it must have been my fault for not putting it out early enough (NOT the case!), and once I told them I was cancelling and would like a refund for the remaining quarter, suddenly can't get ahold of them, or get a call back! Poor customer service!

I ordered this company's trash removal service on Sept 6, 2013. They pick up on Friday in our neighborhood. I thought I was getting a good deal, yet I was not. On Friday, Sept. 13, the company drove up my street and then left. They did not pick up my trash. I was a little upset, but I decided that they must have not gotten my address on their route. No big deal. The following week, I watched them, once again, drive up my street and fail to pick up my trash. I called and was told that I would definitely have my trash picked up. Yet again....no trash pick up. No one came. One more week went by, no trash removal. When I called again, I was treated poorly by the woman on the phone - Jamie - and the owner - Bob. They said they would issue a refund in 6-8 weeks! What????? I paid for a full year of services up front. They did not live up to their end of the contract. Furthermore, Ms. Jamie told me that the garbage people said we didn't have our trash cans out in time for service. THAT IS A LIE. Our trash cans have been out for a full month. I am getting complaints by neighbors and my trash is overflowing. Due to The Garbage Man's awful service, I now have maggots in my garbage, an awful smell, and I'm getting city complaints. Thanks, Garbage Man. All I ask is that they issue a full refund within the next few days. It is unacceptable to take my money and not live up to your end of the deal. 6-8 weeks for a refund is ridiculous. DO NOT ORDER THIS SERVICE!!!!!!

Do not be tempted by their prices, their service is the WORST! Missed pickups, again and again. If you call, they say they'll come get the trash, but they don't. You get to keep it for another week! Lucky you! This place is just terrible. Save yourself the grief, don't bother with the Garbage Man.
