Blooming Flowers & Gifts

Renia did a stunning altar arrangement for my mother's church after she passed away. Everyone in the church commented how beautiful the altar flowers were. Highly recommend.y

Twice in 2 years i ordered from them and both times my mom was extremely pleased..... and she's not exactly easy to please ! Tomorrow I'll order an arrangement for Mother's Day and I know they'll be great.

The day before Mother's Day, my mother received a bouquet of a dozen roses from a sibling, who does not live in FL. No one was home when Blooming came by to drop them off, but that did not deter the delivery person from opening the front door and leaving the arrangement in the house anyway. I was visiting my mother at the time and we were not at the house; found the arrangement inside the door when we arrived home. I suspect that the delivery person simply did not want to be bothered to have to re-deliver, but that doesn't justify just going ahead and coming in when no one answers the door.



The roses were past their prime when they were delivered; it was clear that the florist had removed so many petals from a couple of the flowers to make them appear more fresh that very little remained. All the roses were fully open, most with leaves beginning to curl and brown edges. Not good. The bouquet--for which I suspect my sister paid a premium price because it was Mother's Day weekend--lasted less than a week.



To top it off, it was evident that Blooming had run out of containers. They were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they selected the one for my mother--a red square vase. Since the roses were multi-colored pastel, red was an odd choice. The vase was color-coated w/ some sort of plastic-type coating--which was peeling off the vase in various places, so the clear glass shined through in patches. I am going to return it to Blooming.



Wish I could post the pics I took. It is clear that Blooming was not prepared for Mother's Day; don't know if that is typical for this florist or not but I would not recommend them.
