Stay away from this place! Pat is crazy.

The sign out in front says Women's Cuts $15.99 and Up. Make sure you get a clarification on how much "Up" is! I had never been to this salon, but it was close to home & I thought I would give it a shot. I went in with already short hair (a modified bob with longer sides) and asked for a shorter modified bob. I provided a photo and spoke with "Pat" at great length about how I wanted the hair to look, and the great importance of the length. After she pretty much had it completely cut, she informed me it would be extra to blow dry it. I said that would be fine, not imagining the cut to be much more than the $15.99 since it was already short. She then asked if I wanted to dry it myself! Um..no. For an extra charge, I would expect her to do it, but I said nothing other than that she could dry it. She said, "Okay, your total will be $45.00 just so you know." I was SHOCKED when I put on my glasses & saw my hair. She completely disregarded what we discussed and cut it the way she saw fit. The hairstyle was supposed to almost completely cover the ear. Instead, she cut it up over the ear like a man! I walked out with the worst haircut I have ever received in my entire life! The entire back is cut on a crazy slant with my right side being very visibly longer than the left side! I have literally had people ask me where I got my hair cut to ensure they DIDN'T go there! I didn't want to create a scene, so I decided to call the owner & handle the issue with her. I spoke with Francine who advised that Pat is part owner of the salon with over 30 years experience. I would expect someone of that level of experience not to do a hack & slice job on someone's hair. I advised I felt it was only fair to receive some of my money back since Pat didn't cut it AT ALL the way we had discussed, and charged me an obvious inflated amount when she didn't even STYLE it. I was advised that Pat would call me back on a Thursday. She never called. I called at the end of the day and was rudely advised by Francine that Pat had been very busy and would call me another day. Finally on Friday, Pat called and was literally SCREAMING at me for "bad-mouthing" her work. I was very nice & professional whenever I called there and not once was I inappropriate or unkind. (Which I would have had every right to have been! But was not.) I have five witnesses to this phone call exchange, as I put her on speaker phone and let everyone hear her berate me. When I would try to calmly explain anything to her or why I was asking for a partial refund, she wouldn't even let me speak and would scream over the top of me. I calmly gave her my name & address, as she finally requested & agreed to send me a partial refund. The refund arrived today, made out to the WRONG PERSON! Apparently, Pat can not only not get a haircut right, but can't get details (like the name of the person who's hair she butchered) right either. This salon might be fine for the sweet lil' ol' ladies who just need a wash & set, but I wouldn't recommend it for ANYONE who cares at all about their appearance, nor about being cheated in the wallet.

I just started working here and what wonderful women to be around. Im looking forward to being here for a long time.
