Riya Rejuvenating Day Spa

I got a hydrafacial from Laura, the owner....kinda. My appointment was at 12:40 but was sitting in the waiting area for 30 min before I was called back. I RECIEVED A SEVEN MINUTE FACIAL for $100. It was my first hydrafacial, but I did research on them and know they usually last around a half hour. I was so upset!! I would not recommend the spa to anyone. What a waste of time and money!!

This was the worst massage experience I've ever had. It was unbelievably unprofessional. We scheduled a couples massage. The person who had me, was the receptionist and not a licensed therapist. She jokingly said during the massage "sorry if I cut you, my nails are too long", and "my hands are freezing cold I'm sorry if it's a shock at 1st". The "therapists" then continued to talk throughout the 60 minute session, trying to spark conversation with my boyfriend and I. All we wanted was to enjoy a peaceful relaxing hour massage together. It was awful. There were no head rests on our tables, so when it was time to roll on our stomachs- our necks were then forced one way or another. We were in more pain when we left, than when we arrived. And on top of it all, I had asked for the therapist to concentrate on my lower back, hands and feet- and not once did she touch them. I don't see how they continue to be in business.

Purchased a couple's massage through Groupon as my husband's Valentine's Day gift - also just prior to their grand opening, which made it a little tricky to set up an appointment. The day of our massage, we arrived to meet the friendly, welcoming staff. We felt more comfortable here than where we had our previous couple's massage at a nation-wide business. *Tip: If you haven't had a massage before, arrive early as you'll be asked to fill out some paperwork. We arrived right on time, but believe the form cut into our massage by a few minutes. During our massage, our therapists customized our massages based on our aches and pains. When it was time to leave, they did not try to sell us anything like the other massage place did. We were even given a gift certificate, which was not expected in the least! Every business is different, of course, but I would prefer to shop local. That's why we would likely return in the future. Since they are new, I hope they find what works for them.

I prepaid for a service that was cancelled 2x, Frustrated. I called & spoke with mgr twice about contacting owner. Left one vm. Today I called asked mgr to have owner return my vm or else I would come in if it was easier. I advised the owner that we were told we could either be refunded or they would add a service, though ownder advised that she could not refund $ due to us paying through Groupon & the only offer she would provide were make-up samples. I explained that this prepay was not paid through Groupon, but directly to the spa so they should be able to do refund the $. She expressed how rude, inconsiderate, and obnoxious I have been harassing her employees. While trying to end the phone call by saying that we just needed a refund at this time, I was hung up on. The truth of the matter is and the facts are: 1) I am a customer 2) I prepaid Riya for a service 3) They have cancelled my service twice 4) I was hung up on when trying to get a refund for a service that has not occurred.
