Arma International, established in 1955, is a nonprofit association and a leading authority on managing paper and electronic records and information. It offers resources that include legislative and regulatory updates, standards and practices and technology trends and applications. It also provides other inputs such as live and Web-based education and books and videos on managing records and information. The association has more than 10,000 members that include records managers, archivists, corporate librarians, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators. They work in a wide variety of industries, including government, legal, healthcare and financial services, in the United States, Canada, and more than 30 other countries. The association publishes The Information Management Journal, a bi-monthly journal, specifically for professionals who manage records and information on a daily basis. It also develops and publishes standards and guidelines related to records management. Arma International is based in Lenexa, Kan.
