Predatory Towing: Let's face it. This towing outfit is a bunch of vultures, pure and simple. I admit I parked in a tow away zone for 45 minutes.. No story offered (even though there was a good one, of course). I did the crime, I'll pay the fine. But, even when I went in to just pay the fee to get my car back, the female in the front office was so hostile and abusive, I was subjected to verbal abuse and borderline physical assault. Psycho. They don't need a junk yard dog. There's one in the front office that should be on a chain. You should not go alone to pay the fees. They will also try to cheat you or bully you for more money with threats of not giving you back your car if you don't pay extra. Sheer extortion. Never experienced anything quite like this before. NEVER deal with this company voluntarily. (They get one star only because a zero star was not an option)

My son's car was towed during the early morning hours. And when he went to retrieve the car with his drivers license, cash and key to the car was told he could not get the car because it was registered in my name. His license has same address and last name as mine but they would not release the car to him. After a 2 1/2 hr. drive to pick him up and get the car, I requested to see the car first and possibly drive it with one of their employees to make sure no damage had occured during towing. "erica" said that I could not see the car until I paid the towing charge. I then asked to see the written policy dealing with damages to cars and was told I could semd a letter to Towtruck Company. When I asked her to read me the invoice since it was impossible to read, she said when I was ready to pay the fee to let her know and she left the window. Not having ever had a car towed I didn't think my request for this info was out of line. I did pay the fee and asked why where the customer signature was required , she or another employee signed in that space. Once again. no legitimate response .I have never encountered any business that was as sketchy as this company. The car was towed from a Wachovia Bank lot, and it is my intention to pursue this company's business practices through the bank. At the very least, perhaps they will reconsider giving the business to Towtruck Co. I also plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
