What a terrible experience! First appointment, the doctor tried to guess my diagnosis and said I had a broken bone. I disagreed and told her that couldn't be the case, she insisted on an x-ray which she told me since I was so sure, no broken bone = no charge. No surprise, she was wrong. Genius business planning, let me tell you.

Second appointment, I arrive right on time, sign in, then don't hear a word from anyone for an hour. When I ask why it's taking so long, I am informed that I will be next. I don't think so, unlike the incompetent staff employed, I actually have a life and can't afford to wait around as if this is the one thing to completed in my day. They need some serious work in the time management department. I know I will not be returning to their amateurish doctors and ineffective staff!

I was seen in July 2011. The appointment was fine, paid my copay, they said they'd bill my insurance, and I went on my way. Now today, Feb. 8, 2012, I received a call from a collection company saying I have an outstanding balance! It's been 7 months since my appointment. I was never contacted by Orlando Foot & Ankle Clinic letting me know I had a balance. I know they had my contact information, because obviously the collection agency was able to get ahold of me.

A simple phone call or letter from them would have gotten everything straightened out, but instead, they sent me to collections. Thanks a lot.

For the record, my balance is now paid in full, which it would have been long ago had I been contacted.

Appears that I am not the only one to have had a bad experience! Make every effort to avoid this dishonest office! Below is an account of my experiences.

Incompetent? Questionably Dishonest.

Appointment 1: x-rays, exam with a result from Finkelstein of "can't diagnose problem" but that didn't stop them from trying to sell me expensive inserts. Need to come back when it's hurting.

Gouged!

Appointment 2 (2 days later): Surprise, the technician informs me of the diagnosis in my chart from the first appointment. After waiting for 25 minutes in the exam room the doctor arrives to inform me of the diagnosis that was not provided in the first appointment. Now I have a regiment of antibotics that may or may not solve the problem and a standing order to return in 10 days. Will not be returning! I don't mind people making money but not at the expense of my time.

What a horrible, dishonest doc...

What a horrible, dishonest doctor's office. I was in for a severe ankle sprain, doctor sees a supposed ''fungus'' on my toenail, tells me it's necessary to take a sample and send it off. My follow up visit FOR MY ANKLE, they tell me I owe them $150 for the stupid toenail biopsy. I tried to fight it, telling them it was an unnecessary procedure, and they should have checked my insurance (WHICH I REQUESTED THEY DO) before proceeding and billing me for it. I have had financial difficulties, which I EXPLAINED to the people in the office and the billing department, and told them I needed time to pay. A couple of weeks later I get notice from a collections agency that my account has been forwarded to them and I have to pay. Well, they harass me for 2 more days. I argue with the billing department and the clinic's supervisor or whatever he is --- that gets me absolutely nowhere. Useless, not helpful - not to mention they hire RUDE front desk workers. I am young, just out of college, working a low wage job, and they were completely unwilling to help work with me to pay my bill. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Great Staff, Great Care

I brought my mom in to see Dr. Talbert for a toe fracture at his Oviedo office, the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Dr. Talbert was very sweet and his care was outstanding. Will definetely recommend the Orlando Foot and Ankle to everyone.

Insincere!!!

I had my mom take my son to the office on Curry Ford and Goldenrod because he had a growth on the bottom of his foot. My son didnt have any insurance so I made sure to find out the office visit charge and I was told $75 to $150 depending on what the doctor has to do. The doctor went in took one look at it and said it was a wart(even though it didn't look like one), he was in the room for not even 5 minutes! When my mom called me she said she was charged $350!!! I was so upset that I called them and they said there was nothing they could do! The doctor didnt even touch my son! Then he had the audacity to send me a thank you letter!!! I sent it back with a piece of my mind on the back of it! I will never go there AGAIN!!!

Billing Nightmare

While the actual medical care is fine, their billing is a complete nightmare. One time it took them 6 months to refund a security deposit for some custom insoles, and only after complaining in writing to the company's management. The billing department would not return my phone calls. Another time, they sent me a bill for a follow-up visit that was supposed to be at no extra charge because the insoles from the lab were defective. The billing and office staff was arrogant and of no help whatsoever.

Watch Out!!!!!

This company has been harrassing my wife for months. They have been calling her cell phone every Saturday. We live in Jacksonville and have never been to a foot clinic. We have called to try to get them to stop but they keep calling. DO NOT USE THEM. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Dr White's Office

Office and parking conveniently located, office staff very friendly and helpful, and on each of my three visits my wait has been less than five minutes. The medical treatments provided relief.
