This center took good care of me. Dr. James diagnosed me right away before X-rays were done. Gary the nurse practitioner never made you like a drug addict answered all questions. Wish I could still go there but I live in Minnesota.

If you need a pain specialist Dr.James Otting is seriously the way to go. I have never had a doctor make me feel important and not like I am a money sign. He really seems to care about his patients. He is always busy at his office but no matter if he gets behind he will not rush you. The medical assistants have been all really friendly too. If you want a doctor wgo will try to figure put the right treatment for you and actually take time and listen , see Dr.Otting. I seriously feel blessed to have him as a doctor especially with everything I am going through!

Stacey L. Ice, CNP, joined Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management in 2022. Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing as a Registered Nurse from Bowling Green State University in 2010. Six years later in 2016, she received her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Toledo. Stacey began working at the University of Toledo Medical Center as a nursing assistant in the emergency department, and for the next five years after, worked as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on orthopedics/vascular at Hillcrest Hospital, and float pool nursing at University of Toledo Medical Center. Most recently, Stacey was a Nurse Practitioner at Toledo Clinic Pain Management.

Cassandra Brown, CNP, joined Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management in 2019. Cassandra graduated with high honors from Mercy College of Ohio with an Associate’s Degree in applied science in Nursing. Cassandra began her career as a Registered Nurse for St. Vincent Regional Heart and Vascular Center in Toledo, OH. She went on to advance to St. Anne Mercy Hospital operating room, where she worked on a variety of cases including gynecology, ENT, vascular, orthopedic, neurology, pain management, and endoscopy. Cassandra later went on to work in pain management at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH. While working, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, and became a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

The method can be used effectively for a number of musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, pain in the neck and extremities, as well as sciatica, sacroiliac joint pain, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, and muscle spasms, to name a few.

Lesions
SASTM is a derivative of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), a treatment technique that helps therapists heal soft tissue, muscle, ligament, tendon, or fascial lesions. These could range from areas of restriction, built-up scar tissue (adhesions or fibrosis) trigger points, and inflammation. Once these abnormalities are detected, the therapist can use sound-assisted instruments to apply pressure and stimulus to the affected areas, which improves the healing process by increasing blood and nutrient supply to the area, building up proteins like collagen to assist with tissue regeneration, thereby reducing the pain and inflammation.

Kinesio taping is useful after sports injuries to reduce pain and inflammation in sprains or muscle spasms and inflammations like tendonitis or fasciitis.
Physical Therapy
When treatments such as physical therapy and oral medication are incapable of helping manage a patient’s pain effectively, an injection or minimally invasive procedure may be necessary to help provide an adequate level of pain relief. Often, these treatments are used in conjunction with other pain management modalities to provide maximum relief for the longest period of time.
