Overall

his company is awful. We just purchased a home in Ponce Inlet, FL and the home warranty was with 2-10 HBW and our AC went out. We called HBW to schedule a service call on Thursday 9/10/15, they said they couldn't have anyone come that day, but could have someone come by on 9/11/15 between 4-8PM. They advised that the service provider was Total Air Care in Orange Park Fl. Today (9/11) I called Total Air Care 3 times to confirm that we were on the technician's schedule, and they said we are and I reminded them that we have a 4 hour drive and they said we have to be here to meet the tech. I specifically asked if I had to be present as I had a 4 hour drive to meet the tech ( I told them I could let them into the house remotely). They reiterated, again, that we had to be here. So, after 2 calls to confirm, I left around 11:30 and arrived at 3:45 PM. When I arrived at about 4:15 PM I called AGAIN and they said the tech should be calling me any minute. Well it is now 8:15PM and I have not had a call from them. My advice for you is stay away as far as you can from Total Air Care as they cannot be counted on to show up! I will also post a grievance with the Better Business Bureau as they say they are BBB rated and I can't image they are as they have such awful service. I f anyone is interested in the outcome, please feel free to email me.

Overall

This is the absolute worst company of any genre that I have had the misfortune to deal with. Do NOT under any circumstances use them. My AC went out on Sept 17. American Homeshield contracted with them for the repair. This company did not send anyone out till the 20th (a Saturday). They then claimed my AC needed a part. They claimed that all the parts shops close during the weekend and couldn't get the part till Monday. Monday rolls around and their office says they have to get authorization to buy the part from AHS. I called AHS and they claimed that TAC had not called them yet. TAC waited till the end of day to get the authorization. The next day, I called to see about the part and TAC said they were ordering the part. On Thursday , they claimed to finally have the part but could not fit me in their schedule till Monday. I complained and was out on a cancellation list. On Monday morning, I call them to ask when they are coming that day and they tell me between 4and 8 pm. 7:45 pm rolls around and no one has shown up or called. I leave an message with their answering service explaining the no show. I get a call from them at 8:05pm saying that someone called and had left a message that they weren't coming. Apparently, someone (probably the answering service) called my husbands cell at 8:03pm and did not leave a message. The called him after getting my message of the no show so that they could claim we were called. The girl I talked to said that they didn't show because the tech had gotten the part that day and noticed it was the WRONG PART!!! They are unprofessional and liars. They had told me that they had the part in the previous Thursday. I was without AC FOR TWO WEEKS getting the run around from them and AHS ( who I also do NOT recommend). NEVER USE EITHER COMPANY!!!
