Windsong Exotic Birds

This place is filthy. I would never purchase a bird from this place. I stopped in on a rainy Saturday a few weeks ago and there was a younger couple in there looking at buying a bird for their mom-the guy kept demanding a deposit from them for the bird and he would call them when the bird was ready to go home.

There was a cloud of dust throughout the entire store and all the birds looked sick and distressed. One Cockatoo (which I have one) was plucking all its feathers out (A sign of depression and no attention).

The cages are disgusting with bird droppings 4" inches high in the bottom of every cage, feathers all over, and birds that look like they were attached by cats.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of animals will someone with the State of Connecticut do something?!

Awful, This place is dirty, filthy and should be shut down. DO NOT buy a pet bird from here, ever. The lady working in this disgusting place didn't even know anything about birds, or where these birds came from. I think they must get them off craigslist, I doubt any of them have been vetted. As an owner of birds, please do not buy from this place

Incredibly sad place. The birds are living in filth. It has an unbelievable stench. The animals are under incredible stress. I wish it could be shut down. A 1 star rating is too good.

I echo the sentiments of all who have rated this place!! We purchased a bird and it died the next day! We contacted the state department if agriculture and logged a complaint ! I encourage all those people on here to do the same !!!! We are starting legal action! Someone has to stop this man ! Please if you have a problem contact the state department of agriculture and lodge a complaint the more the better!

STAY AWAY!!! Cannot understand how this guy stays open for business. His place is dirty and he does not care for his birds properly. He sells sick birds. I was told by a local vet that he smokes cigars in his store and when the vet advised him that this was not good for the birds, his comment was "they'll get over it".
