Ranch Steakhouse

We had been meaning to try it and went with our young son, they stuck us in the corner- I was just uncomfortable there- the waiter was condescending and acted put out when I asked for bread for my child to munch on, they dont have bread apparently- only "toast points"...My boy dropped his toast point 2 times each time the waiter would jump over to pick it up off the floor immediatly- but not nicely-more irritated.- He is a child people, they do drop things.

Each item on the menu is "a la carte" and overpriced in my opinion, it seems that you pay for the atmosphere which is dark, formal and romantic. We got the scallops as an appetizer and they were very raw and did not have a good flavor ( I love seafood) we mentioned this to the waiter and he told us he could take them off the bill although we had eaten most of the dish- There were 3 and my husband and I had 1 bite each- are you kidding? We didnt even ask to take them off the bill... Okay, I have to mention the filet was excellent, probably the best filet I have ever had- but it is a shame, because my husband and I WILL NOT BE BACK and DO NOT RECCOMEND Ranch Steakhouse to anyone due to the SERVICE BEING SO UNACCOMADATING TO FAMILIES.

Also don't even go unless you have a reservation or there will be a significant wait.

I love the Ranch! I had never even heard of it until my husband and I wandered in on a late Friday night. The decor is pleasant and upscale and the service was great. We have dined at the Morton's, Ruth's Chris and steakhouses of the like and The Ranch far exceeds those! We always return for special occasions. Expect to spend about $100 for two without alcohol.
