General Info

Grace Child Development Center is the latest incarnation of early childhood care and education offered by Grace United Methodist Church. We have been at this location almost 50 years providing exceptional child development programs for pre-school age children. Past experiences of people who have used our services have generated numerous recommendations and references as well as brought families back to us from one generation to the next. Previous models of pre-school and mother's day out programs have been merged into the current format that provides quality educational learning experiences within "mother's day out" hours. GCDC is fortunate to have exceptional support from the congregation who pride themselves on this history of service ministry in this community. We are pleased to draw participants from Edmond, Yukon, Bethany and Midwest City as well as the Northwest quadrant of Oklahoma City.

GCDC is a not-for-profit early childhood education program with the goal of nurturing the whole child - intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. We are a curriculum based program that utilizes age-appropriate active and interactive methods to stimulate children's curiosity and learning. Our curriculum is well rounded and includes large and small group activities, outside playtime or indoor large motor skill activities, circle time for reading and instruction, free play time, art and craft activities, weekly chapel, daily music or special creative activity time, introduction to Spanish and occasional visits from outside sources for special presentations. We are a small program and maintain a low child to teacher ratio in all classes. Our well experienced staff is caring and committed to help children grow to their greatest potential.
