Family Builders, based at Oklahoma City, provides various services to individuals, families, parents, and community groups for breaking the cycle of family violence and child abuse.ÊThe programs focus on targeting the abuser and the abuse source by assist her/him to build healthy relationships. Another area of focus is bringing in the members of the community to know about the issues in order to find collaborative solutions. These include training and educating families, individuals, and organizations belonging to the community, and involving churches, schools, day care centers and youth sports leagues to mention a few. Family Builders also offers a 52-week BattererÕs Intervention Program which covers topics such as personal responsibility, issues of control and power, and violence effects. It serves the Arts District, Downtown Oklahoma City, and Central Oklahoma City areas.
