Egyptian Salon of Ann Patton

I wish there were a ZERO review because it is totally deserving. All of the reviews previously submitted are totally accurate. I used Ann at Egyptian Salon 17 years ago during my first occurrence of cancer. I purchased a beautiful human hair wig and was extremely happy with it. She even provided me with make up ideas considering I had also lost my eyebrows and eye lashes. I was totally pleased with her kindness and her compassion. Now, in March of 2018, I have cancer again and am in need of another wig and immediately thought of Ann at Egyptian Salon. Unfortunately I encountered a TOTALLY A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE THIS TIME. I called and made an appointment. Ann was not very pleasant on the phone, but I just figured she was busy and in a hurry to get off the phone. Day of my appointment, I had to call her back to ask a question regarding insurance coverage. She was RUDE, UNKIND, and not helpful at all. She was so GRUMPY with me on the phone that I CANCELLED my upcoming appointment. I was so disappointed because I once again wanted to have the same lovely experience I had the first time. My oncologist also told me that they had had issues dealing with her as well and that she was very difficult to deal with, totally unhelpful and rude. I was so disappointed and in total disbelief regarding how I was treated. I hope all is well with you Ann. I wish you the best.

Zero rate. Made an appointment and tried on several wigs but when I made comments about the price and I wasn't prepared to make a decision that day, I received a postcard in the mail that said I should go elsewhere and that she only sells "high-quality" wigs. Yea, right. Shop a few other places and the same wigs are 1/2 if not more than she sells. She also cuts out the manufacturer tags so you can't shop on line or see the actual price of the wig.

I would NOT recommend this place!!! Way over priced. She wants to get you in and out I found after shopping around (unfortunately after going there) that there are places much cheaper and just as good of quality.

I told my parents about this place after I spoke with Ann Patton on the phone regarding buying a wig for my aunt with alopecia. She was very pleasant and helpful in the information I needed to know. I told my parents about the salon and they went. My mom found a style of wig, she knew my aunt would love, however, it was blonde. Ann told them she could order a dark brown wig for them in the same style and cut. Mom put $240.00 down as a deposit and when the wig came in, it was not only a black wig, but so thin with hair that she would see her hand through it! Mom told Ann that this is not the same style of wig she showed her previously and Ann rudely told her that it was and continued to argue with my mother. My mom finally had had enough of Ann's arguing, rudeness and inconsideration and mom asked for her deposit back. As Ann was writing the check, she called my parents CHEAP, Cheap? Paying over $500 for a wig isn't cheap my dear!!!! The wig your were trying to sell my parents was CHEAP! And saying you heard our race was cheap is classless and rude! I do believe we have moved on from that era, haven't we?. People, if you are looking for a place to buy high quality wigs, please do not let the pleasant voice on the phone when calling to make an appointment fool you! My parents were able to find high quality wigs, yes....WIGS...two of them. They bought TWO! Sorry Ann, big mistake, BIG!

Lies, rudeness and a dial tone. Mom found a wig there. She loved the quality of the hair, the cut, everything but the color. Ann ordered the wig in silver & mom paid her $300. The wig came in & entire scalp is rats nest,can t even comb it. Neither cut or quality of hair is the same. Mom phoned her assuming there was a mix up& Ann Patton ended up trashing moms current wig & then hung up on her. Don t expect any customer service from her, no store credit,apologies, nothing.
