Overall
Auto Plaza responds

I saw this customer's comment and don't remember the event howevere I can say that it's true we don't provide Carfax because our cars are mostly rebuilt and we know the number of previous owners by referring to a code available on the Oklahoma issued titles. Carfax is not 100% reliable and courts will not accept it in law suit situations. We don't try to screw anyone to sell our cars. All known data is provided to our customers and we try to be as transparent as possible. It's a shame that this customer wrote the negative comments about us. Our thousand of car sales in the last ten years and one out of every five deals repeat business speaks to the contrary. My personal prayer for this customer is to be fare and honest and be brave enough to say it to me face to face and allow me to defend myself. Thank God folks like this person are few and insignificant.

Overall
Very dishonest dealer

I was looking for an inexpensive car, and I found this dealership in Oklahoma City. Their listing of 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 caught my attention. I called the number listed on the website and I spoke to Kevin. He informed that the car was in fantastic condition, so I decided to drive down there.

First warning sign - No carfax report. I questioned Kevin about it and he told me that Carfax subscription was useless, and he showed me a report issued by Oklahoma DMV. The report showed that the vehicle was a Rebuilt title. I asked him exactly what was wrong with the car, and told me the car was involved in a minor accident.

I asked him how many previous owners the car had and he told me there were only 2 previous owners. I got suspicious and purchased a subscription for Carfax right there at the dealership and checked the history and guess what? The number of owners listen were 5!

Kevin tried to downplay the whole incident saying that the car dealership changed names and so on, but that wasn't true at all.

I called Geico and I asked them if this particular vehicle can be insured, and they told me they wouldn't insure this vehicle. That told me Kevin was trying to sell me a piece of junk for $6000.

Don't be fooled by the whole warranty either.

Avoid this car lot. There are much better places out there.
