Drowned my diamond Movado watch. Face was damaged as well. Took it to ABetter Time in about Feb 20, face had to be sent to New York for restoration, Covid hit and everything shut down. Took about a year to get it completed, through no fault if theirs. Did a fabulous job at a very reasonable price. Watch was a Xmas present in 1964. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. They kept me updated on the progress even though the world was collapsing around us. Yay, them!

My grandfather clock from Germany stopped working and I checked with five different places to have them fix it. It was from around 1900 and was a family heirloom. This company was the only one that would repair it. It took five months (they are backed up). John actually delivered the works and installed back into the clock and spent an hour at our house installing, checking, and verifying it was functional. It runs as if it was new. I can't begins to tell you how happy I am with this service. This was my father's clock. It's as if my dad is alive again and with me. I recommend HIGHLY this clock repair service. And as far as it taking five months, you have to wait for great things. This company's repair of something so precious to me is well worth this wait.

Thank you all for bringing back to life my clock, and in some way, the spirit and memories of my father.

I took my grandmother's wrist watch in November of 2015. I heard they did good work so I took my Sligh wall clock to them at the beginning of December. It's a key-wound clock and stopped winding a year before. Six weeks passed and they said my watch was done. I went in and they said "Sorry. We ordered a hair spring for it. Check back in a couple weeks." So I kept checking back every couple weeks. It was always "We haven't had time to work on it." Finally, at the end of April, I said "Give me my watch and my clock back." The clock was at their shop in Guthrie and they would have to bring it back. I went back three times and they just kept "forgetting" to bring it. They had the clock for five months, and supposedly fixed it, but it's been running fast and it won't stay wound for more than 3 days. AND the biggest thing that irritates me is they seemed to never know who I was each time I stopped by. They even asked for my claim ticket when I went back and got the clock!!

TERRIBLE!!!!

If I could give no stars I would. After having my grandmother's Grandfather clock since July, there were 2 no shows on promised deliveries to return it, a superglue "fix" was used, and a $275 repair fee. Guess what?! THE CLOCK IS STILL BROKEN!!!!!! Poor Business and Poor Morals to cheat an elderly lady on a sentimental and prized possession. I should also mention that the repairman tricked her into replacing the hands on her antique mantel clock. Who does that?! SHAME ON YOU!

This is a business of thieves (I believe like the other reviewer its family operated) who basically stole $125.00 dollars from me for a mantle clock that he assured me would run properly when I picked it up. He said it was definitely worth fixing...needless to say after 4 months and 5 trips the clock still did not work properly. I could tell you all the details but it just makes my blood boil. In the final visit before I picked up my clock I dropped by where he said he was going to leave my clock on the counter under his watchful eye and see what's going on. I decided to drop by unannounced after 3 weeks and low and behold there it was in the same spot dead. It takes roughly a week for the key wound mantle clock to go dead yet there it was deader than a doorknob never been touched. He told me it would be ready in a week and he just hadn't wound it yet today.....LIAR.....I returned a week later again unannounced it was 15 minutes behind time so I knew it still hadn't been fixed, It also had a new ticket dated the day after I dropped in a week earlier. I told him I was going to take it and asked for a refund, which immediately he said there would be no refund he got rude and started grabbing up all proof(ticket receipts) of the clock having been except the one I scooped up which he physically tried with both hands to remove from my grip. He came around like he was going to physically try and take it from my pocket but I think he realized he was looking at the beating a thief would get if he laid a hand on me. He demanded for me to leave and threatened to call police, he acted like he did but he's an idiot he was describing me to police when he had all the info on the tickets,,,what an idiot! So if you go there after this review remember your wasting your time and money....The city would do well to set up a sting because this is a front for a theft ring.

User beware before you go into...

User beware before you go into this place. Went in there to change the battery to an expensive wrist watch i purchased at Dillards. They changed the battery and it stopped working after 4hrs. I then called them over the phone to let them know that the watch went dead after few hours. I was then advised by the Manager that it might need servicing and oiling but that they would test the battery again and replace if need be. So they changed the battery a second time. This time the wrist watch worked for about 6hrs and quit. I called them again about the situation, was then told to bring it in for repairs. I thought about repairing it for $65 if it was really worth it. I decided to take it to Dillards to ask for a better repair place for that brand of watch. They gave me a number to call. Then some instinct in me was not satisfied with their services. So i decided to try Walmart to see if they will be willing to change the battery for the last time before i try another Jeweler to pay for an expensive repairs. Guess what? The wrist watch is still working 3weeks after. Apparently this place is ran by family members out there scaming people by deceiving the public when you come in with an expensive watch or clock and they put in a half dead battery so you will think it needed repairs. When all it needed was a good battery change. I can promise you that they have ripped so many people off before I caught them by chance. To cover up for their act they decided to give me back my money when they have a big sign saying No refunds on their services. I refuse the money because the mother of the so called Manager was there and ready to fight me for not wanting a check but cash like i paid them. I looked at the place and their condition I decided they could keep the money, i was only interested in the principle behind that type of business. Expose them to the public.

I took my watch to this place ...

I took my watch to this place almost a year ago to get a new battery put in and they told me it would be ready the next day. When I went to pick it up, they had not put the battery in yet. They then asked me if I wanted them to go ahead and do it while I was there! Did they think I wanted to make yet another trip? It literally took maybe 5 minutes. Last week my fiance took his watch up there to get a post put in. They told him all the posts were old and would wear out soon, and they recommended replacing every post. They told him it would be ready in 4 days. He went back on the 4th day and it had not even been started. They then told him it would be ready the following day. He went back the next day, it still had not been done, and they asked him if he wanted to wait while they put the posts in. He waited for 25 minutes to have this done. DONT EVER USE THIS PLACE.....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I dropped off a Citizens ProMa...

I dropped off a Citizens ProMaster watch for service, new crystal and for a new band, about a month later I received a call stating that the watch was repaired and ready for pickup, upon pickup I had a watch with no band, then then informed me that the band was on back order, about 4mnths later I received a call stating that the watch was finally fixed 100%. I am not happy with this place, But they have a Nice antique clock of mine as well. which I will write about that one soon...Not recommended at all!
