Mia Modern & Traditional Italian Cuisine

Can't complain about the food or service. Upset over the fact that Mia charges ridiculous prices if you request a change in your entree. She does not inform you of the fact but just adds it to the bill. We are locals who frequent the restaurant, love the atmosphere but the past 2 times have been overcharged from $5 to $10 extra. Last night, asking for shrimp scampi over spinach instead of pasta ended up being $5 extra for four shrimp that cost $28--not right. Love the convenience and the food but do not like being taken advantage of. Inform the patrons if there is an exhorbitant charge for a change in an entree. Other restaurants welcome changes and never charge us. Will be awhile before we go back there.

A+ - everytime I'm in New Jersey I make it a point to go to this wonderful mouthwatering experience. Would recommend to anyone interested in experiencing traditional Italian cuisine. Don't pass up an opportunity to check out this restaurant!

The food is great! Our starter was calimari and pasta and both were fantastic and I don't like calimari but this was good. For dinner I had a crab pasta dish and my husband had delicious chicken with whipped potatoes. The bread was super warm just the way it should be. The owner of the restaurant takes your order then cooks your food, two other chefs put the dish together but the people working there are so friendly and you don't feel rushed at all. This is definetly a good date night restaurant as well as a family restaurant. See you there.

I've been here twice since it was taken over my it's new owner, Mia.The food is very good. These folks know how to cook Italian food the way Nana used to. Very pleasant staff.Bring Your Own ( a liquor/wine store is a few doors away).Minor criticism: no business cards last time we were there, and they ran out of Pellegrino. We're planning to go back.
