He completed the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Before entering private practice in 1994, Dr. Eric Daiter published numerous articles about the process of embryonic implantation.

Testicular Cancer
Men who contract testicular cancer tend to have a lower sperm count than their healthy counterparts. After chemotherapy or radiation, sperm counts can drop even lower. You may need to wait for up to five years to resume normal levels of sperm production. If you wish to conceive in the meantime, various methods of artificial insemination may be of service. Hypothyroidism
Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are thought to affect ovulation by increasing the amount of estrogen that circulates in the body. Elevated estrogen levels tend to disrupt the delicate balance of other reproductive hormones in the body, thereby slowing down the rate at which eggs mature and become fertile.

Ultrasound
To begin the IVF procedure, you will be prescribed fertility drugs designed to promote mature egg development in the ovaries. During this time period, Dr. Daiter will closely monitor your hormone levels during regular office visits. When the mature eggs are ready, ultrasound guidance is used to pinpoint the eggs and remove them from the ovaries.

Chemotherapy
Ovarian follicles that are in the process of growing eggs are especially vulnerable to radiation and drugs used in chemotherapy. After you have received treatment with either of these methods, your fertility may be diminished for months or even years. Many women stop ovulating and menstruating altogether. Once ovulation begins again, the eggs are considered to be perfectly healthy and fertile, with no negative effects.

Vasectomy
Vasectomy Reversal â€“ After a man has undergone a vasectomy, there are situations in which he may wish to be fertile again. One of the fertility treatments available is vasectomy reversal, in which the vas deferens is reconnected to allow sperm to be released into semen.
Laparoscopy
In 1997, Dr. Daiter began his own practice in Edison, New Jersey. He specializes in all facets of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and through the years has performed thousands of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy surgeries to aid in accurate diagnosis and repair of pelvic abnormalities. Dr. Eric Daiter is proud to employ the most advanced techniques available, including the use of ultrapulse CO2 lasers.
Reconstructive Surgery
Male infertility is often caused by previous surgery to the testes, vas deferens, or other structures related to testicular blood supply. Other types of non-surgical trauma, including injuries sustained in sports or accidents, can also disrupt the delicate tissue of the testes. If surgery or physical trauma has impaired sperm function, Dr. Daiter may be able to perform reconstructive surgery to restore function and fertility. Artificial insemination, available at our Edison, New Jersey facility, often aids in conception if the physical path of sperm has been impeded.

Lesions
Endometriosis is another common pelvic factor that greatly reduces fertility. When uterine tissue grows on the fallopian tubes and outside of the reproductive organs, the resulting lesions and scars can decrease fertility dramatically. The only way to diagnose and treat endometriosis is a surgery called laparoscopy, in which a small camera is inserted through a tiny incision. If Dr. Daiter finds irregular tissue during this procedure, he may remove it with a laser or other surgical tools. This technique is called a hysteroscopy when the camera and tools are introduced into the uterine cavity via the cervix.
