Called this morning 7/30/18 and received a service call at 4:00 PM. Service performed by John H., and he took the time to explain his work. Very professional and knowledgable. Extremely happy with the service call and will not hesitate to contact A-1 Garage Door if I need future service.

We have used them twice and always get great service. Quick appointment, on time, fast, polite and knowledgeable. Even came back on a sunday with a extra needed part. A more detailed invoice would be nice but I would highly recommend.

Our garage door came off the track around 5:30 p.m. Called and spoke to David, the owner who was very nice and set up a service call the next morning. Matt came out and fixed the problem. Nice guy and he didn't try to sell us a new door either. Great service for a reasonable rate. I would call this company for any future problems.

Had a garage door spring brake. Called A-1 and made an appointment for the next day. Technician arrived on time and fixed the problem quickly. Also replaced all the rollers. Very happy with the service.

The moment we placed the call for help - the OWNER answered and thanked us immediately for being a military family and the sacrifices we make daily . This was extremely impressive as we run a charity Homefront Hugs Foundation and this is heard less and less these days.
The service was smooth and they recognized the disability needs of myself and our vets and came over within 24 hours despite a heavy schedule and offered a military discount
Not only was the owner David meticulous about following up but his tech John - a very tall impressive man and installer was professional, assessed issues fast and honestly and performed an excellent job. If only this work ethic and integrity could be found everywhere. We will most definitely be referring to A-1 Garage Doors exclusively after this experience.

My first experience with A-1 was in May 2011. They did an excellent job restoring my garage door to fully functional, quiet operation. After seven years of demanding use, when the door stopped opening, it was an easy decision to call A-1. I placed a call at 9am Monday and was given a 12 noon - 2 pm window for arrival of a service technician. Drew (the service tech) called shortly before noon with an estimated arrival time, then called a short time later with an update when heavy traffic slowed him down. Upon arrival he quickly prepared a quote for the requisite work, contacted another A-1 representative who was working nearby to secure some parts that were not on his truck, and completed the work within the hour. Drew e-mailed me an invoice, explained the A-1 warranty terms, and was on his way. The door works great. I would highly recommend A-1 to anyone in need of the services they provide.

I couldn’t have asked for a nicer young man. Matt explained all the options for my broken door. He was very thorough & and knowledgeable of the products. He even took the time to call & get me a good price.

My experience with A1 garage doors,were amazing,easy,and smooth.they did a wonderful job,the guy Dennis from the Oak park office came out installed my larger insulated industrial door,awesome job,it was well worth the cost, I must say Glade I chose A1.

I called A-1 around 7:30 at night when my whole garage came off it’s frame hardly hanging on about to fall on my cars. I have never seen something like this and it didn’t look safe. Drew called and said he was on his way and he showed up a lot quicker then he said. I could not believe he did the whole job by himself, I figured a whole crew would have to come out for a job this big. Drew knew what he was doing and didn’t mess around. I’m more then happy with the service and will use them whenever I need something but the thing that blew me away was that the owner David, and Drew that came out to do the work on my garage were more concerned about mine and my families safety. I called A-1 12:30 today and Drew was able to get out here by 1:15 Drew was very efficient and very knowledgeable and had it fixed in less than an hour. I would highly recommend A-1 to my family and friends.

Same day spring replacement. Now garage door opens and close smooth.
Excellent service since placing the call until you get the job done.

I came home and my metal rope snapped, and the door came off track. I called on Monday night and someone was out the next morning. Paul called ahead to let me know he was on his way which I appreciated. Paul was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I had a lot of questions and he answered them all with politeness. He fixed everything, and was very thorough. I could not thank him enough!! Would highly recommend!!!

I have used this company before for another home and both times the experience was excellent. Each time they came the same day and fixed the problem. Drew came out this time in this miserably cold weather. He called me to let me know that he was running late. The garage door came off the track and he fixed it put new rollers on and gave us some suggestions for in the future. Good work Drew.

After being turned down by two other companies A-1 was able to solve my problem the same day I called. a Tech was at my door within a few hours. Justin was very professional and explained everything and before I knew it my new opener was up and running and my 40 yr old EZ-Lift was out the door. Thanks Justin! Great Job!

My garage door opener chain broke earlier today and I called A1 as soon as I could. They were able to schedule a repair person to come to my home within 2 hours of my call. My technician Matt arrived even sooner. He explained that given the age of my garage door opener (a Stanley Brand) which aren't even manufactured anymore, my only option was full replacement. He offered a few different types and gave me the pro's of each unit. Matt was quick, professional and did a fantastic job. I am thrilled with the service I received from A-1. I highly, highly recommend their services. I won't use anyone else for my garage door repairs.

I drove into the garage Friday night after dinner out. There was a bang noise after I closed the Garage Door. One of the springs broke. My wife had two of their coupons from the value pack. It said 24/7 service. I called at 7:30am Saturday and it was answered. He said they could have a repairman there Saturday afternoon. I was elated not to have to wait until Monday as our two cars were trapped in the garage.
About Noon Mike came to fix it. He suggested that we should also get new cables as one was frayed. We also discussed new rollers and a new bottom seal. Mike did not use any pressure and worked a little magic with his boss to keep the price real. All the old hardware was original from 1986 and it was time for replacement. This was one of the most pleasant service experiences that we have had in some time.

Was in a pretty desperate position when the door stopped 1/2 way open. Couldn't get the car out. They came out fast and fixed it fast as well. Didn't try to replace the whole system but did what needed to be done. Very friendly. Our Service guy, Mike Dunn was awesome. We even felt bad because he worked non-stop in the cold. Thanks for a great experience.
