Walked into his store with a broken pair of glasses hoping to get a quick appointment for an exam so I could get new glasses. (My eye doctor wasn't able to get me in for over a month.) He not only fixed my glasses free of charge (my doctor has charged for part and labor before) but referred me to another doctor and called to make sure they took my insurance.
