Norwalk Business Service, Inc.

The first time I heard from Norwalk Business Service was when I opened a bill from them. Strange, considering I had never contacted nor requested any services from them. I had filed my individual tax return myself, months earlier. I attempted to contact the tax preparer several times but only had the non-pleasure of speaking with the administrative assistant who suggested I just send the check. After a "second notice" I grew concerned and investigated further. Turns out my fiance paid to have the service prepare his tax return, which included a request for the 2008 homeowners' tax credit, during which they requested that he send a copy of my return, as the second homeowner. An amended tax return in my name was sent back for me to sign and file with the IRS. We were both under the impression, maybe because its what we were told by the company, that this was part of the service my fiance had already paid an excessive amount for. After more failed attempts by phone, I sent a letter along with a check for the full amount. In the letter I explained my concern over the lack of communication and that I felt the fee was unjustified. They never did answer my letter though they didn't waste any time cashing my check. You would be better off going to H&R Block, these guys are sneaky!
